Okay, we're seeing more and more posts telling us that guests aren't getting their DME packets in a timely fashion...if at all.
I'm curious to see if there might be a common 'thing' here. I know that when I've stayed at DVC, and booked through them, my DME packet has consistently arrived 4-5 weeks prior to travel. And I have friends that are having the same experience, but when they book through Disney, they aren't getting their packets.
So...with that in mind....could you please choose one of the above options, regarding your resort booking and receipt of DME material?? Thanks. I'm just really curious.

I did get my packet about four weeks ahead of time, but it only had my tag and not my two traveling companions.

I called and they said since I had just added them to the package, they weren't included in the shipment. I had added them four months before..... odd.

But they promised to ship out an entirely new package that day and it was in my mail about four days later.....

I booked 3 trips thru Disney & have always gotten our ME tags about 3-4 wks b4.

I have always gotten mine about 30 days out. For our upcoming trip in May we received the DME packet 35 days before the trip.

I have to wonder if there is any difference in the receipt of DME tags between people who have packages booked vs. room reservations only.

And I also wonder if how far out the person booked their trip has any bearing on the situation. I have read posts here on the boards that people booked within 30 days but then were upset they didn't have their DME packets before they leave.

I booked my last trip through a travel agent and I ended up getting my packet twice. Once directly from Disney and once from my travel agent. The one from Disney came about 4 weeks out and the one from the travel agent came about a week later.

I have booked 4 trips directly with Disney within the last year and a half. This last trip is the first time I had to call to ask where them are ... 3 weeks before we leave and I don't have the tags (they said I would get them today or early next week).

I didn't do anything different this time versus the others. March and May were Room only ... I have also noticed the number of posts ....

Most trips, we receive our ME packet about a month proir. But we always went in September. This year, we are taking a May trip instead and leave in 22 days and still have yet to get our stuff.

We only gave them our ME info about a month ago (but I think that's about when we usually do it each year). We called last night and were told that our tags were printed/mailed on Monday so should be here anytime. We did get our regular WDW packet a few weeks ago though.

There's an option missing from your poll. We book through a TA and seem to consistently get our ME package along with our regular package around 2 weeks prior to our trip. Our TA sends it together but there's a delay because it goes through a middle man. I believe he gets everything about 4 weeks out.

True, but that TA is still booking through Disney directly. As long as that TA is telling their clients that it is going to take an addtl week to get the packets, it's fine.

I am a DVC member, and have booked all but 1 trip through them...The 1 non DVC trip, booklet arrived in a timely fashion...1 DVC trip, it never came at all, last September
