:) Thanks so much for posting!

I'm toying with the idea of doing an occasional check-in here, and I'm hoping to post on the race weekend threads more...so I'm still around! :teeth:

Hahaha. I love how you say THE END and three pages later we are still discussing the end. What a chatty group of followers you have!
Honestly, I don't know how you do it. I barely find time to read these boards, much less comment on them, whereas you post and respond and respond to the responses- sheesh! I can see how it's consuming. Most of all, I think this thread lost it's naturally ending point. I remember thinking after the races had passed that this was a training thread for (Princess and Tink) wondering what the stopping point would be since they came and went. And I'm sure there's point where you can only type "went for a run today" so many times before the monotony kills you! I hope you still do trip reports- at this point the only runDisney trips I have planned are the vicarious ones. I'll still make a general pest of myself on Instagram and like and comment on pretty much everything you post, so I guess there's still that to look forward to! Lucky you?

Yep, y'all know how to make a gal feel loved! :)

I definitely have a thing with responding to comments...I figured if people take the time to read my ramblings and leave a comment, it's a jerk move on my part not to respond.

That is definitely true. It was supposed to end with me getting the pink C2C in May and obviously that didn't happen. It's funny to go back and read the first few posts...nothing turned out like I thought it would at all!
And I'm sure there's point where you can only type "went for a run today" so many times before the monotony kills you!
So true!! There were times were I'd write something and just think "this must be so boring to read." That was another factor in my deciding to stop.

I am planning on doing reports. I don't want the last thing I write here on the DIS to be that abysmal 10-mile recap!!

Yay! :yay: (I mean it!)

Challenge accepted!...

...for reporting, that is. I'm a total lightweight when it comes to booze nowadays. :)

I'm sure we can work up a custom training plan for you, complete with your ideal alcohol ingestion rate, number of countries at which to consume, and final inebriation level (i.e., pace, distance, and result needed for a PR). I guarantee it'll be more fun than anything those Hanson guys ever put together.

I don't think I need a training plan since the plan is to have 1 or 2 drinks, if that. :) :rotfl:

Looks like you are still checking here, Shannon. Curious since you love ink n burn and I love my rose denim pants, what is your opinion on the sports bras? I normally wear moving comfort, but really liked that new sports bra, I might consider it for up the yoga I hope to try in December, but was wondering if you ran in them and what you thought.

Thanks

 Yep, still checking in! I may do an occasional update but I definitely don't want to not respond if people are leaving me comments. :) (Which I greatly appreciate!)

I'm so glad that you love your pants! Aren't they just awesome?

New sports bra - I do have one and I DO NOT run in it. It's very comfortable, but it is not at the support level that I prefer/feel that I need for running. I like my sports bras to be a little more heavy-duty with more compression (currently I am using VSX sports bras from Victoria's Secret). EDIT: I'm 32DD so I'm sure it greatly depends on what size you wear and the level of support/compression you feel you need for a running bra. :confused3

Now for yoga, it's great - I wore it to a class on Saturday and really liked it. I like the back with the double straps a lot. :) If you're going to try a bra, if you can, I would highly recommend ordering a couple of sizes to try and then return what doesn't work for store credit. :)

Thanks Shannon. I thought it would be good for things like yoga and going to Disney World, but like you, I prefer heavy duty for running. I think we have chatted before on sports bra threads. We are close in size. I was fitted in a 34DD for moving comfort but that was 40 lbs ago. I moved to a 32D but it is still tight so i may need a 32DD. Any ways, am sure i have to play with the size but since we are close, is yours a small or medium? also is the fabric a similar feel to the rose denim pants? Do all the clothes, shirts and capris, have that same silky feel? Right now i actually wear the rose denim as more jeans to go out in and not run or do anything athletic except walk the dogs. I prefer compression for running so thinking of getting a pair of capris or a short sleeve shirt for running but was curious if it is the same material.

thanks

The size chart had me a a medium, but I actually ended up keeping the extra-large! I probably could have gone with a large but I wanted a little more coverage. I'm wondering if I'll regret not keeping the smaller size down the road...we'll see!

The sizing was hard. I was glad I ordered two to try out.

The bra fabric is very similar to the rose pants fabric. The tights and capris also have that same fabric...it's a little different for shorts, skirts and tops. If you want to get a pair of capris and want the compression, I'd go down a size - that's what I do (8 in pants, 6 in capris and tights). For shirts I order my normal shirt size - the fabric isn't quite teh same, like I said, it's got more...ventilation, i guess? Still pretty comfortable though! :)
