A PIN for most of 2010??

Do you mind answering these questions...maybe we could pinpoint how we got it?

Yes to #1 and #4... I request a dvd every year and have been registered for a long time.

I got that PIN last week. Now I know you can book 3 rooms with a PIN, but what about if the rooms are for different dates? Like can I book two in jan/may and then two in sept? If free dining is offered on the sept homeschool days then it won't be an issue, because we'll book that deal instead, but I want to be prepared. Right now we have a vacation in May that might get moved up to jan for homeschool days.

Lets try to figure out how you got this pin:

3. have you recently registered with Disney.com After our last vacation in May, but not too recently.
4. Saved any trip quotes on disney.com Yes, and when the ones I have expire, I save some more.
5. Made trip itineraries on diseny.com No
6. Requested customized park maps from disney Yes, and they arrived the day after I got the code. However, I also ordered a second set with my other e-mail account and I did not get a PIN for that one
7. anything else you may have done which you believe may have triggered the pin email I received the PIN the day after making dining ressies for dates that I did not have a hotel ressie for. I made some more with my other account (the one that I ordered the second set of map with) and nothing yet.

Since I did the same things with my two accounts, it seems kind of hit and miss. The only difference is that I have booked a trip (in July for Oct that we had to cancel) with the account that received the PIN.

Still don't know if I can swing a trip. Now that I'm working I'm trying to pay off bills, and then replace things on our waiting list, and one day save for DVC.
But boy are these deals hard to resist!

And for those discouraged, I felt the same way and then one day BAM! I started getting them.

We go to WDW about once every 18 months....never receive discount codes via mail or email. A couple of weeks aso I called to inquire and found I had several codes "attached" to my name, but had not received any notification. I was offered 30% off mods, 40% deluxes; and 45% off the villas! You may want to call and ask. It never hurts!

I just got this pin code within the last two days. I have also gotten the other pin code (30/35/40) that ends on 6/12 a few weeks ago.

I believe I got the pin code that ends on 6/12 for requesting a planning DVD. I got it within a day or so of requesting that.

I got this one after I set up a new account for my husband, ordered him a DVD and saved some trips. I then deleted some trips, and added some new ones. It's been about 2 weeks since I set up his account, but I've been logging in as him every day and messing around with hotels and costs. Only spending about 5 minutes a day doing that but still making sure to do it.

I'm not sure if any of it helped but that's what I've done to get the pins.

I was really happy to get the first pin and would have used it if I hadn't gotten the second pin. The dates on the second pin just work better for us which is why I was trying to get it.

That is a good pin. I got one that is 30,35,40 but it only goes until 6/12/2010.

Yeppers, I got we got that same pin! We're booked for 9 glorious nights in April 2010.

I got this code on Oct. 17 but mine had a different message attached to it. I had been thinking of going in February because, for the first time, the kids have week off from school. They're getting too high up in grades for me to take them out of school anymore and my husband won't go in the summer so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. The problem with the code is that the week we're off includes Presidents Day and for the couple days around that date there is no code to use.

Oh, I should mention that the pin came to my email address and to my husband's as well. I've done several things like many of the above posters have stated, however, my dear husband has done just about nothing and he gets pins ALL THE TIME.

My point is I think it really boils down to the luck of the draw and not about what you do or not do; but I guess doing all those other things can't hurt.

I got that pin also! I've NEVER gotten a pin before. When I saw it in my email I was SO grateful! :We already had all our trips planned and paid for, though. I was unsure if I could apply it to our already booked trips, so I called them up. Even though our dates overlapped and some ran over, they modified our ressies (just the $$) and we ended up getting refunded on our card. We changed a resort from POR to GF for one leg of our trip and still got $1127 BACK!! Then the CM told me to print and save that email because I can use it again and again. It was like the Holy Grail of pin codes!!! The ONLY thing I did different this year (we go every year in Jan) was I SAVED AN OFFER when I was looking at Nov. 2010 dates online. Oh Yeah, earlier in this year I joined D23, also. I'm wishing everyone some pixie dust, too!

Yes, I was able to chose any of the dining plans just like normal. As well as tickets. But just the rooms were discounted.

Would love to get a pin valid for dates in late June/early July. Not clear from all the posts--is everyone who have received PINs for most of 2010 AP holders? Just trying to clarify. We're not AP holders, so I don't want to get my hopes up if the PINs are only being sent to AP holders...

I would love to get that PIN! I got my very first PIN this weekend for the first half of 2010 but our "mama of all mamas WDW trip" is Dec 2010! LOL Crossing my fingers that I get it!

We've been hoping to get the 20%, 30%, 40% PIN for a while now. We haven't received it. It is the only offer out there we could used for our dates. It would be the only way we could go to the world in 2010.
