hubby put shrubs on the other side of our back fence.....but every time it would come to water them he would have to take extra hose out and attach it and go thru the gate that he made to get to other side......so he put black hose and put it under the ground on this side of the fence....hooked up pepsi bottles with the bottom removed.....and the hose is attached to the neck of the bottle..He then made the bottles attach to the fence and when he waters the shrubs he just pours it in the bottle a few times and it goes to the needed areas

Very clever invention Roses would enjoy that because the water would go directly to the root.
During the summer we sometimes use aqua cones you screw into a bottle with the bottom cut off. They go into the ground & slowly water. Gardeners Supply
