I know some people don't like AK but our family loves it and it is one of their favorites. Everyone always agrees that we want to spend the whole day there. We usually do a park a day but we go in February when the crowds are probably less and we don't see everything but we do see a lot. We usually end up going back to MK though to go back on a few favorites. I think you could do a park a day as long as you realize you may not see everything. Just make a plan for yourself and have each person list what attractions they really want to see in each park and concentrate on those and do other attractions if time permits. The only problem with this plan is our list usually ends up being really long.
Our last trip was the first one without hoppers and I thought it might be hard to do just one park a day but then I realized we really didn't do much hopping even when he had them so it all worked out just fine. Have a great trip!
We did 1 park a day on our trip last month. I did feel cheated out of Magic Kingdom time, and we didn't spend but about half a day at AK. But, it's cheaper to buy an additional day and have the possibility of two days at MK, then using your AK day for swimming and relaxation. That is...if you have the time in town.
We can't find enough to do at AK and leave by lunch or a little after. It also closes early usually so you waste so many evening hours if you don't hop someplace else.
MK has so many attactions, as does Epcot, that it's hard for us to get much done in 1 day at either place.

Ditto that. We usually do two days at MK, two days at Epcot, one day at MGM and either no time at AK or 1/2 day at AK and 1/2 day at DTD. I'd definitely prefer a park a day over no days at all, but would much rather have 2 days at MK and 2 days at Epcot since there's so much to see!
A park a day is my usual MO. Granted I don't go with kids (this time will be the first time, when my nephews will be there at the same time), so we don't need a mid-day nap like some say they do here.
AK seems to take less time to me, but in two less-than-half days I haven't seen everything. Conditions (weather, reservations in restaurants in other parks) have kept us from spending a full day here, but hopefully that changes this trip.
It depends on how you "do" the parks. We spent a whole day at AK and still havent seen Dinoland, Camp Minnie/Mickey or any of the shows!!
We travel 4000 miles to get to WDW and theres no way i would march the kids round with military precision! We just love to amble around, take in all the sights and attractions with no set plan.

That is pretty much what we did too except we did spend the whole day at AK. I bought 6-day tickets instead of five and we spent the first half-day at MK which was an EMH that night and saw Spectromagic and Wishes. We spent a whole day at MK and then on the last half day we were supposed to go to MGM but there were some things we didn't do at MK so we went back and spent our last half day there. I have to admit I like MK to be the first and last park. The price difference between 5-day and 6-day tickets was nominal so I felt like I got my money's worth and we ended up at MK on three different days. It all depends on what you like I think.
