A parent’s perspective: When kids are scared of Disney characters

Parents who force their child up to a Character so the parent can have their precious picture really do annoy me.

Nothing wrong with trying to make it work however if the child doesn't want to go up to Mickey just let it be, they will let you know when they are ready.

One of my FAVORITE things to do at WDW or DL is to watch the lines of little people having their photos taken with characters. DH and I are lucky enough to visit WDW and DL often so our holidays no longer in "commando" mode.

I agree, it IS uncomfortable when you watch a parent forcing a frightened child to have his/her photo taken. Seems a little selfish to me.

Luckily, they are rare and I'm back to my ear to ear grin watching the joy on a little girl's face when she meets Belle, or Cindy, or Ms. White. Now THAT's Disney magic!
