OK - I'm really getting tired of using the "close this thread" option!

Can you all please get it through your heads - this is Disney's screw up - not any other poster on this board. If Disney cannot manage their marketing programs any better than this why should we all get crabby with each other?

This situation has nothing to do with the BW situation last year. In that case there was no CM intervention - it was an obvious glitch - you had to enter just the right info/request in just the right way - and I'm sure if you look through the Terms of Use (good luck reading that) you all agree to by using the website - you will find Disney has covered themselves for a computer glitch.

On the bottom of the page on the web site it states:
Use of this site signifies your agreement to the terms of use (and it is a link)

This situation is one where CMs have been allowed to book this for over a week - are you really going to tell me that Disney could not have put a stop to this on day one - when we got our first report that a CM said these were not for public use?

We do not know what other possible discounts may or may not be in the system - many of us - yes I said us! have called and asked about the discount - in my case the CM booked me for 40% of a AKL. After hanging up I called back because I forgot to get the conf#. The CM I spoke to was so nice that I had a conversation and asked about if I would have a problem with the discount cause I heard it needed a pin code.

She looked at my account and said - oh don't worry you have the pin on your account. We have no idea for so many of these reservations if there is or is not a pin attached - and we do not know if there is discount that does not need a pin.

It is all speculation - no matter what you here from your TA or the CM or supervisor - until someone gets the dreaded call or actually goes and uses the package we will not know.

We need to remember that this board is for discussing Disney Resorts Rates and Codes and not for legal discussions or speculation that raises hair on the back of peoples necks.

If you all cannot begin now discussing this civilly, without name calling etc - I will be forced to ask our admin to abolish all discussion of discounts and close this board!

OK - OK - OK that is an over reaction - just like a bunch of posts I've seen lately - obviously I'm not going to ask to have this board closed - but can you see where I'm coming from?

Trekker I agree 100%. I think everyone forgot the one thing we all have in common ---- DISNEY----- !!!! How can one word make me smile so much?:cool1:

Thank You so much fr posting this.It has gotten really bad on this board:scared1:

I think that sometimes when people see things like this, they get upset & tend to blame the person who got the deal.. you are correct, it is not the guest, it is Disney.. they are at fault.. even with the computer glitch.. that is their program...

Finally! It was beginning to look like a major train wreck over here.. LOL

"What will be, will be..";)

The funny thing is, what Trekker has said, has already been said (in different words/form by several different people.

Thank you for making it seem more, I dunno, official? No, that's not right either, lol.

It's like we've had a mediator come in for union talks, lol.

LOL!

I like that - cause sometimes it feels just that way. But all in all there are a great bunch of members in this community who just happen to love the Mouse - and you know emotions can run high with anything you are passionate about....
