Well I went to WDW this weekend for the day on Saturday. My cousin is a CM, so I pay nothing to get in. Love that perk.
I am not going to go full trip report style but rather touch on some highlights and lowlight...
Highlights:
- The CM's seem to be getting better. We never ran across a rude Cm the entire day. Everyone was happy, joking and just having a good time. I must give special mention to two different CM's. One was working RnRC. The ride was down, and she was doing her best to inform everyone of the closure. We watched many people just walk right by her, ignoring her. She kept trying. We finally told her just yell that its broke...and see what happens...Well it worked..People stopped and listened to her...we had her cracking up. The second was on the Living with the Land ride. We had a wheelchair and we were in the fron row. She was just wonderful to talk to.
- Wishes. What can I say...I just LOVE this show. I finally got to see the show from in front of the castle, and I must say...It was magical.
-Crowds. They were very low. We hardly waited for anything. Most stuff was a walk on or very low wait. MGM was the only really busy park.
-Decorations. WDW at X-mas is great. The trees, the gingerbread houses, the lights. Its just magical.
LowLights:
-Broken down rides. This seemed to be a trend for today. RnRC, SM, BTMR, and the Steam Train's all we broken down off and on. This just seemed really bad form. Luckily I did manage to ride SM.
-Cold weather. OK, Ok..I am a Floridian...give me some credit. Plus I have a low cold tolerance. It just wasnt a nice day.
-Stitch's Great Escape. Ok, this ride is LAME. Horrible. Dumb. Didnt get it. Glad when it was over. Bring back Alien Encounter!!
-Osbourne Lights. UGH. What happened? They CRAMMED them into a tiny area and expect people to walk around looking at them, just kind of shuffling along. I skipped it. I didnt want to wait 45-60 mins just to see them. Hopefully they improve this soon.
All in all it was a good day. I enjoyed the day. We had our normal Open Faced Turkey dinner at Wilderness Lodge, and we stayed at MK till midnight when they closed. MGM was very crowded. We managed to ride most of what we wanted. I rode Splash Mt with no wait, and stayed dry. Got some hot chocolate at the resorts. Only thing was the waits for busses. They were running a bit long. But I had a good day.
