I just returned a few days ago from my 20th trip to WDW. This time it was just my 21 yr old grandson & me (62).

First of all. let me say I love flying Air-Tran. Right on time both ways and the luggage came very quickly.

We used Florida Town car service and I highly recommend them.

We stayed at POFQ and I must say this is my favorite resort that I can afford. My first choice would always be CR Tower! But I absoutley love POFQ. It is just the right size and was very clean. We were in bldg. 3. We were pretty close to the bus.

We only ate at the food court once and that was just so we wouldn't loose a counter service on the dining plan. This was just befiore we left for the airport. Hint --Don't get the taco salad or the grilled chicken sandwich! I know we saved money with the DP but it was more food than we could eat(even without the appetizer this year).

The TS meals we had were Sci-Fi, Boma--great!!, Yak & Yeti, and Les Chefs De France. They were all very good.

As for counter service, we loved Flame Tree Barbecue at AK, very good (not the baked beans though).

The weather was not as good as I had hoped but we only had one day with rain ( only a little) but it was windy every day and it was very cool to me. But I guess that is better than 95 (or a lot of rain).

We didn't have any long waits for the buses. And they were never crowded so we always got to sit. This was very good for me. I had knee surgery in March and the walking to the buses was pretty long at the end of the day!
At HS, the bus for PO is #14 , the furtherest one!! I don't remember the #'s at the other bus stops but they were all pretty far.

There was a big crowd of people at HS on Sat., Nov. 15. This was Soap Opera weekend. The lines for the rides were not bad though, I guess most of the people were getting autographs of the stars.

I have some more to report but will be later on. TTYL

Nice mini report. I agree that the weather could have been warmer. It was in the 80s when we arrived and then the second night we were there it got cold.

The bus service was pretty good except I noticed that our bus stop always seemed to be at the end of the bus row. We had my mom with us with limited mobility and it took till the second day for us to find out about the wheel chairs near the bus stops or borrowing them to get back to the bus stop.

From what I heard it was pretty insane at DHS over the weekend but the crowds were great in all the other parks. Compared to our last two trips (both at Christmas) these were dream crowds.

Thanks for your report.

I have limited mobility too. We never knew you could use a wheel chair to get to the buses either. I have always just walked. This time we used it most of the time since I had my grandson who could roll me. I have to use an ECV in the parks.

Hi Debbie, I'm Linda. Where did you stay? I am a Disney-fanatic, too. I just don't have as far to go as you, If I did I might not get there as often. I'm from Atlanta. I have had one knee replacement and will have the second next year sometime. I may not get back to WDW for a few years. This was my 20th trip!! But I am 62 so that really isn't a lot.

I don't know how to send personal e-mails on the Disboard, not too good with computers.

Hi Linda. We were at POFQ too from Nov 14-18 too. We were in Building 5 and then Building 4 (long story short my mom has mobility issues and they put us in building 5 on the third floor with the elevator at the very far end of the building. That didn't work so we had to room change after the first night to a first floor room in Building 4.

My mom has had both knees replaced (her mobility issue is not related to that however) as well.

We have made it to Disney more in the last three years than we did in a long time. We both have family in South Florida so our Christmas trips included stops there first and then a few nights in Disney since it was much cheaper to fly out of Orlando. I wish I lived closer too but then again I can't argue about where we live (I am less than an hour from NYC and Philly).

Yes, I am sorry, I forgot you said you were at POFQ. This is the first time I have stayed there since 2001. I really like it since it is smaller. We were in Bldg. 3. I asked for & got a first floor room. I have stayed at CR '03, Poly '04 & Pop '06, GF '07. I have only stayed at GF once and probably never will again, can't really afford it. But it was wonderful. Lucky you to already have that planned. I will probably stay at POFQ when & if I ever get to go back. I'm really not too crazy about the food court but we usually don't use it that much anyway, I love to eat in the parks. I am looking forward to your trip report and will look at all your pics when I can. Have fun when you go to WDW!! I hope everyone enjoys their trips. I love Disney at Christmas.:santa:
