A Miele Vacuum, Anyone have one????

Just curious it costs $799.99, what the heck??? Just wondered if it is worth it I was in the store the other day looking to spend the bare minimum and saw these, I had never heard of them before. Anyone have one?

We have one, but not the $799 variety! We got ours at a vacuum store. I was sick of buying a new vacuum every other year. So, we went with the Miele. The man at the store asked a TON of questions - how much carpet we had (none), pets (none), length of hair of people who live here (short), etc, etc. He recommended the $399 one. I think it's their cheapest one. We've loved it so far!

It's VERY quiet. I can talk on the phone while I vacuum.
It's only needed one repair in 7 years. It cost another $100. So, overall we've saved money over buying a new one every other year.
We got the HEPA filter on it. That was a necessity for us with allergies.

The only con I can think of is that the bags are expensive. But, we buy them in bulk when they go on sale. So, it's not quite so bad.

I'd definitely ask if you truly need that expensive of a vacuum before committing to that model!

we have the highest priced one...$899 I think....FABulous!

I have all hardwoods downstairs and frieze carpet upstairs! PERFECT-o.

Worth it.

I have one too and I LOVE it. Believe it or not - but the Miele was the only thing that my ex-husband and I fought over in the divorce. Unfortunately, he ended up getting it and I went out and bought a new one for myself. It works great on all types of floors and it is quiet. I highly recommend it!

Hmmmmm hopefully one day I will splurge and get it, I love the way it looks. Glad to hear it works as good as it looks and is worth the $$$$, I agree it may be expensive but if you don't have to buy another one for a long while then it is worth it

I had been reading about this vacumm online for a while & debating on what to do. My 5 year old Dyson has been dying a slow death for the past 6-8 months. My husband has allergies so I need a decent vacuum & I was debating between buying a new one or trying to see if the Dyson could be repaired. I won't tell you how long I spent trying to clean for Easter... it had all but lost suction. That was pretty much the final straw.

I went to a vacuum store today, tried a few different models & bought the Callisto (wanted the heavier duty hose & HEPA filter). I vacuumed the whole first floor of my house, and that thing not only picked up what the dead Dyson missed, it pulled stuff out of crevices, it fit under my couch, it cleaned corners & edges better than any vacuum I have ever used... my main floor looks better now than it ever has!!!! I think I'm in love
