Woke at 8.40. Breakfast delivered at 9.05. The cast member staggering under the weight of the tray. Ah… I think I misunderstood the ordering card. It had a list on the left

Ham or Bacon
Sausage or Patties
Toast or Biscuit
Etc etc

I had ticked one from each line! Apparently, it was a choice of any of the following, not one from each option... Oops.

Breakfast was no longer a meal, but a challenge. I managed to make a sizeable dent in the food mountain. The GF didn’t fair so well. Her fruit platter was enormous – practically a fruit stall in its own right. The coffee seemed to be endless. Good start to the day - not cheap but good. $53.

Another fab shower, dressed and out for 11am!

Caught another friendship to international gateway - sneaked through bag inspection by hiding the gun under my hat and wearing the grenades as earrings... Is it just me or are these checks pointless?

Got a fast pass for mission space as 25 minutes is too long for me to wait. Spent the 45 minute wait in Innovation East and West. Played Finding Nemo on a playstation for a while – I was humiliated by an 8 year old beside me. Sure, I can build sophisticated sales order processing systems, but guiding a fish past clam shells is beyond my abilities.

Returned to Mission:Space - great ride. This time the GF felt a little unsteady afterwards. Considering the breakfast we had just eaten it wasn’t surprising.

Decided to return to MK. Caught monorail then boat across to the gates. Passed through security this time I tucked the gun and grenades in the front of my shorts - the female bag checker smiled at me...? I don’t object to the bag-checking per se, it’s just it seems so half hearted. Numerous times they failed to look in the outside pocket on the rucksack and I didn’t see a pushchair checked once.

First priority Space Mountain, hmm 5 minute queue and fastpass not available - okay we'll queue! Actually it was a walk on... Like everything else, except Peter Pan.. 1 hour wait!!! Skipped it. Walked on various other rides. 400k+ on buzz - although I seemed to score most of that in the first 10 seconds - no idea how. Spent a lot of time shooting the woman in front's head... She had tried to squish me with her ecv...

Okay, I have a problem with ‘some’ ecv users. I am probably going to get some abuse for this… I understand that they are as essential for some as shoes are for the majority and those users probably use them every day. However, there seems to be a ‘type’ of user that is incapable of controlling the thing. Do Disney have a set criteria for individuals allowed to rent them? Or can anyone – even the simply lazy – rent one? The gentleman who beeped and nudged his way through fellow guests needs a course of psychiatry rather than any medication. Three teenagers trundled past me at one point, happily ramming each other. At what point does a convenience, such as an ecv, become a liability? I appreciate that not all conditions that require an ecv are ‘visible’, but statistically the percentage of people using was way above a ‘normal’ cross section of attendees… Sorry if I have offended anyone…
The Highlight of the day – a preview of the Mickey's Philharmagic attraction. I knew it was a theatre attraction, and I was expecting a 3d type show. But, wow... The size and quality of the 3d projection is wonderful and incorporates all of my favourite Disney animation films.. Terminator3d at universal beats it for overall 'thrill' but this has a great feel good factor.... The way the sound seems to follow the characters around the auditorium and the pumping of scents, water and air into the audience may not be very original, but it is very well done.

Visited a few more attractions including Splash Mountain. Stopped in front of BTMRR closed for refurbishment and couldn't help but think about the sad event in California...

Hopped on train (after visiting Mickey's house) back to main street. Waved goodbye to MK and the theme parks... Depression setting in...

Caught monorail to TTC, making the stupid mistake of thinking I could get bus direct to Downtown Disney. Oops, should have caught the resort monorail to the Poly and got the bus from there - d'oh.

Ended up catching a bus to Wilderness Lodge. Never been here and it is very impressive. Must add it to my ‘places to stay’ list.

Eventually got a bus to DD. Witnessed a farcical situation. A young child in wheelchair carried on front as driver said lift at rear was broken. Driver then insisted that he be moved to the rear and the chair tethered to the points provided. After a few words of anger/disbelief from father who had struggled to get the chair on at the front, fellow passengers helped to carry the boy in his chair (which wouldn't fit down aisle) to back of bus. I am sure the driver was just following guidelines for the safety of everyone, but why did he allow the chair on at the front. The rear doors opened, just the lift wasn’t functioning.

The icy stares the driver was getting seemed to affect his navigation. He took a strange route via loads of hotels which we didn't stop. Took about 25 minutes to get to Downtown Disney. The total journey time from MK was 80 minutes(!). Not sure if this is normal. I haven’t been on any bus in about ten years!

Having purchased our last few gifts we caught a bus back to the Boardwalk Inn, via Sawn, Dolphin and the Yacht/Beach Club. Although I have visited the Poly (never stayed there) and liked the idea of having the monorail access, I think the Epcot resorts offer much better value. Their proximity to Epcot/MGM and the Boardwalk make these my first choice for future trips…. Maybe…

We ended up back at Big River – No queue and we just wanted something simple. Beer ‘n Cheese soup (tasted much better than it sounds) and a couple of salads. Washed down with the usual mix of beers and cocktails. The GF wanted a Maui Wowi that she had tried earlier in the week, but the server hadn’t heard of it and we didn’t know what it contained. The server returned with what they ‘thought’ it might be… A bright green and rather (too) sharp tasting margarita type drink. Too sharp for the GF so we asked for them to add something to sweeten it ‘like crème de casise’. They took us literally, adding a huge measure of casise. Well it was much sweeter! A luminous brown colour and sure packed a punch. With the speciality coffees in the mix, we felt decidedly squiffy when we finally left.

We watched entertainers on the Boardwalk whilst eating cakes and shakes from the Sea Shell Sweet Shop(?) before returning to the room for packing and bed... Last night in usa :-(

Wonderful trip report ~ Thanx for sharing.
