Last Sunday the 21st, our DD's boyfriend proposed to her in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle after the fireworks show! Both families were able to be present to witness this exciting event. After saying some beautiful things, Kyle presented Melissa with a glass slipper engraved with lyrics from one of her favorite songs with the open ring box on top. The crowd cheered and it was truly an incredible moment for us! :cloud9: Here are a few of the pictures of the proposal...sorry for the size (couldn't resize them) and that it isn't particularly clear, but hopefully it captures the moment!

Congratulations!! Omgosh, what a beautiful moment for all of you. And I'm impressed at how he gave her her ring.

Thank you for sharing your special moment. :)

Yes. When he asked for our blessing to marry our DD last June, he came up with the idea for both families to go to DL and we agreed that it would be so much fun! It's been so hard keeping it a surprise from her! Since she knew both families were going to be at DL, I think she had an inkling that it was going to happen...at least she was really hoping!! ;) She said her dream proposal would be at DL during the fireworks.

That is WONDERFUL!! And how romantic! (I'm sucha sucker for those kind of things :goodvibes )

....She DID say yes, right!? pirate: :bride:

I was in front of the Castle on that night of the 21st (by myself, trying to get a PhotoPass picture). What time were you all there? For some reason, her scarf looks familiar to me, like maybe I passed you guys while I was in transit somewhere and saw it out of the corner of my eye. And where did he hide the glass slipper before he proposed?

I don't mind the big pictures - I like big pictures!

Oh wow! My friend is was down in Disneyland then and called me that night to tell me how she just watched someone propose infront of the castle after the fireworks!

She was sobbing like crazy, she is such a romantic. That would be my dream proposal haha. Congrats!

What a Magical Experience for not only Your DD and future DSIL..but how special both sides of the family got to be there to witness it!

Many wonderful blessings for their marriage, may it be long and only good things come unto them.:goodvibes

We were there for the fireworks show and he proposed after the snowfall. A CM let them under the roped off area of the castle courtyard. It was probably around 9:45 or so, maybe.

The glass slipper was in a blue velvet box in a carry-on bag and when we were going through airport security, it looked like a big black blob, so he got pulled over by security and they took him in a room. When he showed them what it was and explained the story, they let him through...thankfully!! In the meantime, we had to divert our DD into a gift shop so she wouldn't wonder what was going on! At Disneyland, he kept the slipper and ring in the room in a safe, then made an excuse to go back to the hotel to get a jacket for the cool evening. He brought the slipper and ring back to Disneyland in a backpack. :)
