On a recent thread it was determined that this forum has a lot of newbies. I was watching the Dis Meet 2003 2 disc dvd set last night with the kids and was wondering how many oldbies are still around? ?
I've got the dvd too! It's been a long time since I've watched it though. I still see some of the oldies on Myspace.

You are a young oldbie! Was Barry at the Mummy opening meet?
Yes. That was a fun night. Here's the photo of the car full of DISers:

As far as a Moderator, I'd like to nominate goofy! She already does the work. :surfweb: :badpc:
:listen: :listen: I am over on the transportation board learning all about the new airline in town (Southwest) and my ears start burning :goodvibes

Ummm, thanks for the nomination, but no thanks :goodvibes

I am still surprised I didn't get a friendly handslapping about my comparative analysis of a certain Disney addict's trip reports :rolleyes1 :stir:

Hello to all. It's nice to be missed. Well as for me, yes, we were hit very hard with Charlie and had to rebuild alot! But we now have a new remodeled home and a second child. He just turned one! I have missed these boards and miss the "regulars" and oldbies. Here is the thing though, reading through these boards I want to remind everyone that the great thing about this side vs. the "Disney side" was that everyone was so nice and helpful. And yes, we got the same question 1,000,000,000 times, but it was always great to see how helpful everyone was and the excitement with the discussions. In addition, I hope people really did not get upset over the posting and the threads...it was all in good fun and everyone used to jump in and I feel that is why we developed such a close knit group on these boards. Please don't change and welcome to everyone who has joined since we were all posting.

Best wishes to all!

the search mode does not always work on this board, so let's keep helping each other out.

Missed you all!

Well, i've been lurking around here for years but I dont post a lot. I know mostly everyone from reading the post but not because we are great friends or anything.

I love this site and when i need a little help I know were I can find it.

Thanks for all the help
Tamika

Here is an example of how helpful everyone here is.

Welcome Tamika and don't be a stranger.

Have a great day everyone!

Good to have you back! And congrats on the new member of the family.

Personally, I love all the banter back and forth. Even though I didn't post much during the "ghostbuster" days, it was fun to read!

Can I be an oldbie? I don't post over here much, but I've been going to Universal and been a Diser since 2002!

I definitely remember the girl who loved Ghostbusters. I thought her name was Claire, though?

Spidey, please tell us.... your second.... boy or girl? We know you have one boy. What about your second? No fair to pop by without any good updates for us gossips over here! We've missed you!

Hope all is well, and really all the complaints that we've had about the same old questions is because we don't have a good mod anymore. At least one who is visable (aka posts regularly) and who visits Universal regularly. An awful thread was allowed to go on for 2+ weeks before being closed. Barry would never have let that happen
!

Well now........while you're all gathered in one place.....let me say thank you to all for the wonderful advice you all provided before my family's 3 summer vacations to US and RPR. I'm sure we would've found our way through all the "what ifs and wheres" if you hadn't helped, but it was sure a lot nicer getting honest opinions and suggestions from the veterans that first year... and 2nd, and even the 3rd. OMG!!! I've been around these boards for over 3 years!!!!! WOW , didn't realize that. When you all started bringing up the old names........ :sad1: We didn't plan another trip to US this yr. because we were supposed to be moving there by now......and thanks to all who pm'd with me about that. Did sneak in a trip to FL. a couple weeks ago....South Beach....different and only 4 days. Even manged to get advice about that (thanks MotherFletcher!) through these boards. I still check in here just to keep tabs on what's changed. You all really are nice people here :grouphug:

Sorry, I thought I shared. I apologize. My second child is also a boy. I'm going to start a football team soon! He is so great and his big bro really loves him. This board has always been such a great place. I feel like even though never of us have physically met, we really do know each other hear and genuinely care.

Best wishes to all, and I promise to try and stay regular on these boards again. We haven't been to Universal since our last trip last year before the baby and really are having withdrawals. I want to take the boys on the new attraction in Seuss Landing.

We are thinking of doing a disney cruise next year followed by a 3-4 day trip to UO.

It's so great to see SpideyHulk24 posting again. :cheer2: I really missed Barry, when he "ahem" left this site. ;) He was a true asset to this board. It hasn't been quite the same w/o him. I've been lurking since our 1st visit to UO, the month that PBH had their Florida Resident pre-opening special. I just don't post unless we have a trip planned. I really appreciate those of you who post often & help those who don't. :)

ETA: Another planned meet would be great. MY DH, DS(14), 4 legged baby girl :dogdance: , & I would definitely be up for it. :wave2:

is he spidey???

or

is he hulk???

anyway you look at it, welcome back home.

don't stay away so long next time, we missed you.

long time back you and i would practically post on the same threads within minutes.
