A Lot Of Firsts!!

:cool1: WELCOME HOME!!! :cool1:

Another SRR & AKV member here welcoming you to the DIS and DVC. You will love your membership! Make sure you sign up for Rapid Rewards on Southwest since you can fly direct to Orlando from Islip! You'll need it because you'll want to take so many trips down. :goodvibes

Welcome Home Jessica!! :cool1::cool1:

Hmmm...I sense a little bit of excitement in your post. :dance3:

:cool1: We are newbies to DVC, too. We bought at AKV also.....best wishes to you and your family as you are "welcomed home".

Jessica & Family,

I hope all is going well with your "Make a Wish" son. We bought into DVC (OKW) approximately 9 months before our son had to have a major surgery. After his surgery (and before his chemo/radiation started), we did an impromptu trip using our DVC points for the 1st time. It is a trip I will always remember and it is a purchase that has repaid itself over and over with the fond memories we have.

Congratulations! I know you will not regret this purchase.

WELCOME HOME!!!:wizard:

Welcome home, how about some first trip ever details. :wizard:

Welcome Home to you and your family Jessica! I am sure you will find yourself among friends and "neighbors" here and this board a great resource, I know I have!

Hi Jessica. I'm also 25 and an AKV owner! I don't have any kids yet, but one of my main reasons for purchasing DVC is as an investment for future Disney vacations with our future kids! You and your family are going to love AKV (as well as all of the rest of the DVC resorts). Your kids especially will love checking out all of the animals on the savanna, and the whole Kidani pool area. If you have any questions about your future vacations, you know that this is the place to visit! :cool1:

I am working on a trip report from our first ever trip!!! I am sure it wont be as big and lavish as a lot of the ones I have seen here but I will do my best and will post a link to it when its up and started

pixiedust: Welcome Home pixiedust:

My 1st trip to WDW was just before it actually opened, it was only a gift shop with a huge mock up of Walt's dream coming to life! After more than 30 years and 50 trips, I'm happily making new Disney memories with my son. Your family will enjoy DVC, it adds so much to the whole Disney experience! ;)

Welcome to the club! How does it feel to actually OWN a piece of WDW? :cool1:  :worship:

A couple of other websites I use frequently are the "official" DVC site: http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/index and Mouse Savers http://www.mousesavers.com . The first provides quick access to your point count, trips, point charts, perk list, and a bunch of other stuff. The latter is great for miscellaneous stuff like rental cars, tickets, and other savings.

Along with the DIS, these sites make up the trio I give to friends and family that are thinking of planning a trip.

Now...you have a lot of studying to do on this site before the test next week ;) Have fun, and tell the family we said WELCOME!!

- Chris

To my fellow LI'ers... I am in Miller Place!

You will LOVE DVC. Even in these hard economic times, I keep telling DH, that DVC will be the last thing to go. I just could not bear to give it up.

Used to live in Rocky Point, so I am very familiar with Miller Place.
