Fast forward to August 13, 2003, the first day of my trip to Disney World (seven nights with my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew at the Poly, three nights semi-solo at the Beach Club--another sister invading solo trip with her daughter). Here's how my trip should go:
Day 1-August 13
I leave Boston on a Song flight. My gosh. My flight is 45 minutes early? Can you believe it. And there wasn't one loud or crying kid on the entire 757. What a pleasant flight! And Tiffany Towncar is waiting for me at baggage claim. My luggage is the first off the belt. We head out to the car, and Tiffany has upgraded me to a limo. What a great thing!
I arrive at the Poly in style. When I check in, a very nice cast member says they have a surprise for me. They are upgrading me to a concierge suite. This is the life.
After checking out our suite, we're off to the Magic Kingdom. We even get to ride in the front of the monorail! As we enter the Magic Kingdom, a nice family from the DIS (shout out to you--you know who you are) saw my lime green Mickey head, and they gave me some fast passes for my favorite ride, Splash Mountain, that they won't be able to use. Isn't that sweet?
We take the train to Fronteirland. There's no lines. Anywhere. It's like we are the only people in the park. We hit all the mountains, and then head over to get a Dole Whip. It's delicious!
As we leave the Magic Kingdom, we see Goofy (my fav. character), and he walks us all to the turnstyles, and gives us hugs goodbye.
Doesn't it sound like we had a great first day!
Of course, the rest of our trip goes just as well. We get the best tables in all of the restaurants. We never have to wait for a bus, and we always get seats on the bus. The weather is perfect--not a drop of rain. Oh, and of course, I get upgraded to concierge at the Beach Club as well.
