After a shower and change, we set off for our pre booked Bufallo Bills Wild West Show. We got to the venue at 5.45pm, but regretted not getting there the full hour ahead as the pre show area was swamped and it was difficult to see. We managed to find a perch and the lasoo tricks were particularly entertaining.

It was not long till we were seated. Having booked 2nd Category, I expected a rubbish view. It was far from it as we were at the end of a bench near the rear on the right hand wall. Both kids have asthma, so this was perfect as not a speck of dust reached us. The show started without delay and I have to say we all found it enthralling. The addition of the Disney characters has caused some outcry and even though I have never seen the show, I can imagine why. Just as you are drawn in and engrossed, Mickey and Minnie etc burst in to help with the games and I can imagine the show has lost a lot of authenticity because of this. However, it did serve to keep the kids interested and all in all it was very entretaining.

I was also not expecting to get a good feed here and had a contingency plan to bolt around the corner to "Mickey D's" straight after. However, the food was surprisingly edible. As a veggie, I got a bizzare tortellini/green bean/pea concoction which was not great. However, the bean chilli and apple crumble were great and the rest of the carnivores (I mean family!) loved the BBq chicken and sausage. So we all left well fed. I was glad that I followed advice to buy a glass of beer before going in though. The glass that was included in the price was never in danger of being more than half filled and at one point the waitress performed an astonishing display of slight of hand which resulted in the liquid level being raised no more than a millionth of an inch!!!

We headed straight back into the park after the show and there was a great Bastille Day atmosphere. We wandered into Adventreland to find POTC with a 0 min wait. We quickly went through and wondered where everyone was. Hubby decided that this might bode well for Indiana Jones, so he went to investigate while the rest of us went into Fantasyland. Pinnochio was showing 20 minutes so we began queuing. It was more like 10 mins and hubby couldn't believe it when we were all together again so soon. We all rode teacups, Carousel and IASW with practically walk on times. Amazing for such a day!

At this stage we decided it might be time to camp out in a good spot for Fantillusion in about an hours time. We sat first at the Castle Stage seating, but were informed by a CM that we would be moved back for the fireworks. We moved on and found a good spot on the pavement just past Caseys Corner on Main Street. Hubby went to fetch drinks and treats and it didn't seem long before Fantillusion began. We have seen this before a few years ago, but still found it very magical and exciting. Once the parade had finished, everyone stood up in Main Street to watch the fireworks. I was a little nervous of the children, but there was no pushing or shoving and the atmosphere was great.

The display began late at 11.10pm, but was understandable given the elaborate nature of it. I began videoing, but soon stopped because it was so enthralling I felt I was missing it by looking through a lens. It was bigger and more showy than the night before for sure and the music was very magical. When it ended a huge cheer rose up and I had goosepimples all over. It was amazing!! Took a small snippet of finale....

We all made it back to the hotel tired but very very happy. Before we came, I had been concerned that Bastille Day might prove awkward due to crowd levels. But with some careful timings, we rode over 10 rides, met a heap of characters, saw two shows, a parade and the fireworks. Better than I had ever imagined.
