Well 5 exuasting days and 29 shopping bags later I finished my great trip to Walt Disney World. Well this was my first visit to WDW since I was 12, which was about 8 years ago. So I remebered not too much and there were so many new things since 1993. I went with just my mom, my dad and brother had to stay home
Well with the help here I was able to see just about every attraction in just 1 day at each park! This would have never been possible without Fastpass, that was a life saver! I loved it! Well the trip started at 3:00 am, when I rolled out of bed and got everything together to leave the house by 4
. Took the hour trip to the airport and left the ground at about 6am on Delta going to Salt Lake City. That was a nice flight and then took off for Orlando from there and arrived a little after 4:30pm. Got the rental car with no problems and headed off to The Lake Buena Vista Hotel at Downtown Disney, which we had to stay in 2 nights because the All-stars were full until Sunday night. That was a pretty nice hotel, quiet and plently of room. At about 6:30 pm we got into Downtown Disney. We headed slowly to Pleasure Island, I wanted to get there before 7, so I could look around for free. We had a great time and found my first pin cart! Those are the evil of the world, I have collected those type of pins for years from all the places I have visited, I have about 250 now. You can guess what I spent a lot of money on
. I think though that $6.50 and $8.50 is too high! Anyways the first cast member we talked to was from Washington state, so that was cool. We ate at Portabellos which the dinner cost us about $20 dollers total. I think we had the cheapest item on the menu! Well We looked at all the shops around Downtown Disney and left about 11pm. Didn't buy too much I knew I had to look around first before I started buying. Which ended up being a smart move as there were many items on sale through out the parks! The next day (Saturday), we arrive at Epcot about 10 minutes before 9am and go straight to Test Track get a FP and go eat a peaceful breakfast at the Electic Umbrella. I'm not sure what was with their water but it tasted like plastic. It was a nice calm start to the day! It was then time to do Test Track, no line for fastpass, so it was a walk on to the film room. I had no idea what to expect of this ride but I loved it! It is now in my top 5 fav attractions! After that we went to Innoventions West and sent a free picture postcard from IBM. That was cool, so remember to take your familys email address with you so you can send them a pic of yourself! Then we traveled on to The living Seas, the dolphin was having fun spinning in circles! After that it was on to the Land to go on Living with the Land, which was closed last time I was there. Thats pretty cool how they grow all those plants diffrent. Then we walked on to the Imagination ride, it was diffrent but I liked it. We skipped Shrunk Audience becuase its at Disneyland. Then we moved on to Canada and had a strawberry Beavertail! Very good. Went to UK and made PS for Rose and Crown later that evening. I must say the Cast members at the UK were by far the nicest out of any group at Epcot! I had on a nametag(which I ended up leaving behind at the all-star room
), and almost all the CM there called my by my name, which I think only happend one other time that day outside of the UK. They were also most helpful! We walked thru all the other countrys and watched a high school choir group at the American Gardens Theature and were they good! I can't believe they were in High school, that school must have a lot of money go to the arts! Then we watched the American Adventure, which was also closed last time. Enjoyed that, I really liked the collage video at the end. Traveld the rest of the world (they were having a bee problem in Italy, had most of it shut off) and we rode the Maelstrom, which had the longest line of the day for us, about 20 minutes or so. I don't know that many were excited about being "trapped" inside the end of the attraction. There should be an exit besides having to wait for the film to be over. Then we rode the Mexican boat ride, nice little cruise. I love the fire works at the end! We then rode Space Ship earth and shopped a little and went and ate at the Rose and Crown. Very good, I had the Fish and Chips and my mom the Salmon. Service was excellent! Then rode Test Track once more using the single line and ran back to the countrys to watch Tapesty of Nations, Very Enjoyable. It should be noted that it only goes from Mexico to Japan now, not all the countries are visited. I would had made a mistake and stayed in UK if I did not ask where to watch it from. Well then I watched Illuminations. I think I liked the one better with the lasers. It was still good though. We left finally about 9:45. Spent over 12 hours straght at Epcot, which was not the record for the most hours spent at a park this week! The other 3 parks to come!
