A Long Awaited Disneymoon TR! May '09

Well I know I should've posted this earlier but well I got busied with the married life! So HERE WE GO!!!
This is my first TR so please go easy on me... I learned that next trip I should do it sooner lol and take some notes to get the details right.

In this trip is Me! Turtle and Penguin Loving Fan! More commonly known as Jared, 22 y/o Electrical Engineering Student at Utah State University! Go Aggies!

and my Wife now of 4 months Emily "All Things Art" Junkie And love of my life!

Thanks to so many dedicated and loving friends and family our reception was absolutely beautiful! I can honestly say that MY wedding reception was the best looking that "I" have ever seen... Our colors were Brown and a Sky Blue and was done at a local church.

Being paraded out to our car to depart after the reception was quite the ordeal... I wish I could find a picture of it... Alas my words will have to do... Summed up, Filled with balloons, wrapped in plastic wrap, covered in cookies, and fruit dip in every nook and cranny.... which I didn't notice till I tried to open the door and got it all over my hand... Oh good times... We headed immediately to the closest Car Wash we could find. And who was there waiting for us but the owner of the cookies... tsk tsk tsk....

After getting fairly cleaned up and balloons out of the car we headed to our first night together. My Aunt and Uncle (who act as my Mother Father) graciously got us a room at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City... Failed once again to get pictures of that room but it was Beautiful!

ANYWAY.....

We left bright and early (lol 10 AMish) and headed through the burning Desert to VEGAS!! (just an overnight stop on the way to CALI!!!)

This pretty much sums up the drive...

I swear i got 3rd degree burns on the drive cause our AC died right as we left that morning... ugh... 109* in AZ.... blech..

We arrived for the night in LV way too hot... trying to find the entrance to our hotel we saw Sacs 5th Ave. and the Wifey HAD to go in and take a look, after about 30 min of see highly overpriced clothes and shoes I convinced her that we can't afford anything in the store we journeyed back to the heat... After driving frustrated looking for the entrance to the TRUMP hotel (thanks to a GREAT deal on priceline) we stopped for gas and asked a friendly police officer behind us getting gas... They only have valet! Well we pulled on up like a celebrity and they had us TAKEN CARE OF! It was nice...

The room was fabulous! I doubt ever again I will stay in such a nice room...

They even had a tv "inside" the mirror!

Now that all of that is out of the way... We can get to the GOOD STUFF! Disneyland Here we Come!

Let's hope I can remember enough details to make the TR worth it...

That sucks about the AC, but at least you were with your brand new DW and off to your honeymoon. I can't wait to read more! Disneymoons are the best!

Again Sorry for taking so long to get an update. Last semester was quite a rough one for me... Bombed Calculus II and Physics I, because of adjusting to school, work AND family life! But I promise that I will get this finished over the next week!

So we made it through Vegas and on to Anaheim, The drive was much easier than I suspected thanks to DW's father lending us his GPS and in no time we were at our first hotel which DFIL got us with his HiltonPoints at the Hampton Inn Anaheim Garden Grove!

It was fantastic! Clean, roomy, and the breakfast each day was great! We grabbed a quick bagel or muffin in the morning and a to-go bag for a snack in the park! I would absolutely love to stay here again in the future.

We relaxed that night and strolled around Downtown Disney for a while and retired early for our first big day at DL!

We got the ART pass for our transport since it was quite a walk from the hotel to DL and whipped out the camera to take a couple pics while waiting for the bus. I hope you all don't get sick of all the pictures of US!

At last the bus finally came! It was only a few short minutes but we were so excited that it felt like FOREVER! The lines for tickets were decently long but we managed to find a short line on the far left and got in quick!

We grabbed our buttons from City Hall and we were off to our first stop!

Next we headed over to the matterhorn for some fast flying action! Got some dorky pics in line but unfortunately the ones of the ride didn't turn out...

We made our way toward It's a Small World and was stopped in our tracks by this!

I learned it is hard to take pictures of stuff moving fast... The parade was SO fun! They asked everyone to raise their hand at what they were celebrating! I was jumping up and down but my wife is much more timid...

We hurried around the parade to IASW before the parade was gone to beat the rush and almost walked onto the ride! I took a TON of pics of IASW but I will post only my favorites, this ride is a great memory for DW family. Also this was the year they added all the disney characters into the ride so we kept trying to spot them!

DW's Aunt had told her that we HAD to get a corndog from the cart in Main Street before we left so we chowed down and got a pic to send her! They were pretty good! Don't burn me at the stake for saying this, but not the best I have ever had.

Unfortunatley the parks closed at 8 most of the days we were there so we retired for the day.

Coming up next! We head to the BEACH!

Geez you guys are gonna make me blush! I promise that I will get on soon and update the TR. I have 2 papers, A Calculus Exam friday and a Physics Exam Monday so bear with me! Hopefully we can get some kind of discussion going to keep yall around while i work! Question, What was your favorite Vacation? It doesn't have to be Disney but I bet it will!
