A little worried...

we went this past May it rained 5 out of the 8 days there.

1. Poncho's. I bought the one's at the dollar store and they were horrific. didn't work at all, might as well have had on a plastic bag from the supermarket. Fitted like a t-shirt and hard for fit when you have a backpack on. Get a quality one. (especially if it's suppose to rain all week) something long enough that if you are wearing capris, it would cover them.

2. Sneakers - keep changing your socks. Bring more than one pair to the park. You'd be surprise how many puddles your feet will find!

3. for your backpack, put it under your poncho and if possible have a backpack that isn't cloth. (so it won't absorb as much water when it's exposed)

4. ziploc bags for phone camera and any electronics you bring

5. wear ur contacts (if you have glasses) it's a pain to wipe your glasses every so often.......

6. wear your hair pack in a pony tail - and in a bun if really long, easier and less likely to get as soaked and your shirt won't get wet from ur hair.

7. stay in one place for a while. we stayed in future world and did soarin and the land's ride over and over again then left that building for good, (didn't hop back and forth between buildings)

I just spent Friday at WDW in the rain for about 12 hours. I agree with the others....you need extra socks and buy a nice poncho before you go. I bought one at Target and it fit well over me and my huge backpack. Also, take umbrellas.....adults only please....kids with umbrellas were a hazard. I am a big fan of the automatic umbrellas you are able to use one handed.

We don't mind the rain at all. Most of the time, it empties out the parks... :rotfl:

I insist on using an umbrella! I hate Poncho hoods, but use them to keep the rest of us dry! Be sure to pack some big ziplocks to keep wet gear in so you don't get the inside of your bag wet.

BRING EXTRA SOCKS AND SHOES. We ran back to the room to use a hairdryer on our shoes because we only had one pair, but luckilly brought extra pairs of socks to change into. It feels soooo goood to put on fresh socks after being all soggy!!

I agree, I hate ponchos, use umbrellas.
Also, wear the Nike/Adidas wind suits/jogging suits, they are waterproof & keep you warm in the cold night air !!

Also,l avoid the wet tennis shoes/socks by wearing socks with Crocs. When it starts raining, take off your socks, throw them in your bag, & then you can tour the park as you like. Your shoes & your pants will not get wet & you will be comfortable after it stops raining. Just dry off your feet with a towel that you have handy from your resort that is in your bag & put your socks back on to keep your toes nice & warm.

We go every December & this is our secret weapon when it rains. I remember it rained so hard one year in December in Epcot that everyone was running for cover & my son & I were dry & could have the park basically to ourselves !!
