I have never been inside the DLH We are going for my 4th Visit to DLP In October and I would love to go inside and see the hotel.
Can I go in and just have a drink it would be magical to look out at DL whilst enjoying a glass of wine...is this possible??
also my DD loves charcaters are there any at the DL hotel other than paying for an innventions mea.....l wondered if I could share my glass of wine with some of the characters???

We are going for 4 nights so will have a spare few hours for DLH Im sure :rotfl:

Yes you can just pop in for a drink. There are characters outside breakfast in the morning which you can go in and meet. On certain days they have a meet and greet in the main reception area at 4.00. I believe it is normally on Thur-Sun but you can pop in to find out when it is on during your stay.:goodvibes

They now do 'high tea' type of thing at the Cafe Fantasia (bar) at the DLH - it looks yummy. Carrie Cat posted about it the other week. You can even get Mickey Mouse shaped waffles which are definitely on our 'to do' list :goodvibes. And the individual items aren't that expensive I don't think.

If you went on an afternoon perhaps your DD would like those while you have a drink - coffee or something if it is too early for the vino :lmao: .

But, if you can, I would recommend trying to go one night to the bar. It just has a different atmosphere on a night time imo. I *think* most nights the pianist is playing in there and the setting is just so much nicer when it is dark outside for some reason... (Having said that, it won't be dark until late for quite a few months yet!).

If you sit in the atrium area outside Inventions, you can sometimes see the Characters floating around too. On our first trip Eeyore came out and said hello to a few children who were floating around that area, not sure it happens regularly though :confused3 .

It is one of the best things about the DLH I think.... :lovestruc

I like the sound of an evening drink in DLH sounds great can you see into the park and people watch from the bar wondered if when we go in October we could watch dreams show from here???

No, you won't be able to because Cafe Fantasia is at the front of the hotel overlooking Fantasia Gardens.

Definitely worth a visit though - I'd love the wallpaper in my lounge! ;)

This sounds great - will search for the thread when the search is working again! Afternoon tea is the best meal!

It was only last week so should be on this or page 2. I'll see if I can find it.

Can't find it - I went back to page 7 but still no luck.

When search is available again hopefully it will be a bit easier to find.

Brilliant - thank you! The high tea sounds lovely but at 28 Euros I think we'll be popping in for some mickey waffles instead to take a break from the busy weekend parks!

Now to stop eating for 2 weeks until we go to make room for all the food I have to eat there!!

Wow mickey waffles look yum..... now let me think where can I possibly fit more food into the plans:rotfl: does anyone know if it is only a certain time of day you can order these?

Told you before Elaine, just take a sheet of the paper everytime you pop in. No one will notice:lmao: I still want to know what the tune is that's on the paper. Just seen a photo & the curtains match the wallpaper, even easier to acquire:)

Stop tempting me! :lmao: :lmao: The curtains would go nicely in my dining room! :rotfl:

Re the tune - I was trying to work this out when we were last in there. It's a long long time since I played a musical instrument but I couldn't find any clefs or time signatures so I'm wondering if it's just random notes. :confused3

We can always ask the pianist when he plays next time:scratchin
