A Little OT: Looking for Cupholder for Peg Perego P3

Hi Everyone,

I have a dilemma that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I recently ordered a 2nd cupholder from Peg for our 2005 P3 so that DH and I both have a place to put a drink when we're on vacation. I know a lot of people don't like the Peg cupholder because of the size, but it worked fine for us on our recent trip - it fits a margarita from Mexico in Epcot and a Dole Whip Float, so what more could we want??? Anyway, I just got the 2nd cupholder and it is silver (the original is black) so I called Peg and was told that all of their replacement parts are silver. I know it sounds so minor, but DH and I both think it looks pretty weird having one of each color...so I'm hoping that someone would be willing to trade me their original black one for this new silver one (which looks good on it, BTW...better than the black really, IMHO) or would even want to sell me theirs and not trade - I'm open for either. My other thought is to suck it up and buy a 2nd silver one and list the original black one on eBay. Any other ideas for me? Anyone willing to sell or trade? Can't really help you too much here, but have you thought about painting it? I just bought some (very inexpensive) paint for plastic and metal and changed an old girls hand-me-down bike (pink, purple, & yellow) to boys colors (blue, green, and black) for my son [he'll only need this size for one summer so why pay $60 for a whole bike when I can spend $4 on paint & get the bike for free?]. It works wonderfully, can't tell the difference--sanding is not necessary. It might just solve your problem.

Either that or you could possibly remove both peg cup holders and go buy the stroller holders or lion heart (there was a previous thread on this board if you do a search) add-on cupholders to use.

I hadn't thought of paint! I haven't tried that new spray paint yet, but a friend used it for some Little Tikes stuff and said it worked great...so that's definitely an option! We have a Prince Lionheart for our Maclaren, but on the Peg it doesn't really have a great spot because of the folding mechanism (which is too bad because I like the size of the Prince Lionheart one) Hmmm...maybe we should play around with the PL a little more...
