I have dealt with this for years. I wash hot. I wash cold. I use dryer. I hang to dry. It happens every time no matter what. I put the jeans on and they fit nice for about an hour. Later in the day I am constantly pulling up and stretching my belt as tight as possible.

I am not buying high dollar brands, but I am not buying walmart brands either. I am talking brands like Lee, Levis, Aero. Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way it is.... really annoying because it is hard to find jeans without lycra these days. I have a pair of jeans from American Eagle that are about 3 years old NO spandex.... um they are looking a little worn....

I have the same problem! Most jeans come with 2% spandex...try to find 1 or even 0%.

Mine do that too, but then I went out and bought a pair of Gap jeans without the stretch and I'd rather pull up my loose ones all day then wear those Gap ones LOL I had forgotten how uncomfortable jeans with no stretch are when you bend or sit...etc. I like the SO brands at Kohls, I'm wearing my Levi's now...but they are looking a bit baggy around the front since I've had them on all morning.

YES!!! I have struggled with this for several years now. If they fit when you put them on, they're too big an hour later. The sales girl at Old Navy even told me to buy them a size too small so they'd fit after they stretched.
You mentioned not buying walmart jeans but, oddly enough, I actually found some that I love at walmart recently. They are the really cheap Faded Glory brand and they fit perfectly all day long! Who knew?

I had a pair of Tommy stretch jeans years ago, and they kept shrinking on me... They were like 3 sizes smaller than the regular pair of jeans when I stopped wearing them, partly because the ends only came to my ankles. I don't like stretch jeans and won't do that again.

My suggestion is buy one size smaller. You may be a little uncomfortable for a while but they'll probably be perfect after a few hours.

I used to work at Gap and we always told people to buy one size smaller b/c the jeans that fit perfectly now would be too big in an hour. Most people didn't listen even though it was sound advice. I may have been guilty of this myself. :rolleyes1

Mine do the same thing. If I buy a size down I can't get them on. :rolleyes1
But the one's I have are falling off by the end of the day.

Try stretch Maternity Jeans ... seriously draggy butt by the end of the first hour!

I know!! I just had a baby in september. The only thing that was good is that I wore regular jeans a long time before I had to go to maternity style.

I am still wearing my regular jeans too!! They are actually men's button fly and I just undo the top button and they are fine!!

I just wanted to say that I am so glad that I am not the only one with this problem. I have recently put on a few pounds and my old jeans were getting a little too tight. I bought some more that I thought fit and the last couple of days they are driving me crazy, I am always having to pull them up!

I just bought 2 new pair of jeans with some spandex. I wish I had known the size smaller hint in advance. They fit like a dream for the first few hours and then I'm saggy. :sad2:

Darn....you all just had to burst my bubble......I kept thinking "I must be loosing weight". :rotfl:

Same here. Even buying down a size they are stretched out within a few hours. But only in the waist (my thighs, thanks to swimming are big enough to keep them up). I still love my Apt 9 jeans though :cool1:

What really happens is you loose weight walking around in the morning, eat a big lunch every day and they will fit better in the afternoon!!! :rotfl2:

funny you said that... I have a pair of Apt 9 and they are my 2nd favorite pair of jeans.... they seem to sag the least even though they are stretch jeans.. I am looking to buy another pair soon
