Wondering how early we should leave RPR for the Citrus Bowl stadium to see the Champs Bowl. Game starts at 6:30PM on Dec. 28. No idea what the distance is or anything, but I'm familiar with how crazy Auburn AL is on game day. Our daughter's band is performing and we already have our tickets, don't know when they will have to be at the stadium, she'll ride the bus from their hotel. Wish we were riding the bus........

It's about a 20 minute drive from Universal but traffic in that area is nuts on game days. I would allow at least two hours before kickoff just to make sure you make it in time and can get settled. Are you driving to the stadium? There are plenty of lots around the CB you can use...for a price that is. The quickest way is Kirkman Road to 408 West to Tampa Avenue. You will see the stadium from the 408. Just a word of warning...the area around the stadium is not the best area in Orlando. Be careful and make sure you don't leave anything in the car that could stolen.

that's the type of info I wanted. I'm guessing that the closer to the stadium the pricier the parking too. Are the lots secure or just mom & pop where you risk your life and limb?

There a lot of parking lots that are in people's front yards and you're right...the closer you get, the more expensive it gets.
