Hello,

I have been trying to read as much as I can, but my eyes are starting to cross! This will be my first time back to DW in three years so everything...magic bands, fast pass and DAC is all new.

What I am trying to figure out is how to best plan our day while using the DAS card. Our 7 yr old daughter will have a stroller as a wheelchair tag and she also has major sensory issues. Our last trip to DW with her was a disaster and that's one of the reasons we have not been back in 3 years.

We did decide to recently brave a day at Disneyland and were pretty please with how the DAS card worked, but we went at a low attendance time and used a lot of fast passes as well.

Basically, is there a service or an expert that knows about the DAS card and fast pass+ and can give me a good idea on what to reserve as a fast pass and how to best use the DAS card? Before we had our daughter we used a website that planned the whole day for us and that was great. It would recommend where to go and when to try to avoid lines.

I have a limited amount of time in the parks with her before she is done, so typically by 2:00 we are done and headed back to the hotel. I'm just looking for tips on how to best achieve our goal of in and out of the parks by 2:00.

Thanks!

Mesaboy2 has a great thread for FP+ priorities and other info. Follow the link below. It really helped me when scheduling our FP+.

What kinds of rides does your DD enjoy? I'm sure there are several posters here who could help you with touring plan ideas if we had a better idea of what sorts of attractions your DD will want to do.

My suggestion is always to FP anything you know your DD will want to do, and space them out so that you can alternate between FP and DAS times. It's definitely more planning, but it works out well in the end - and that's what's the most important.

ALWAYS have a return time on your card.

Just as an example of one of our days -

Used TSMM FP
Grabbed return time as we exited.
Went over to Oakens and ice skating rink.
Took pictures and shopped
Watched Frozen coronation by hat
Used TSMM DAS time
Walked over to Frozen sing a long
While the kids are a snack in the shade I walked over to Star Wars and grabbed a DAS return time.
Came back and did Frozen sing a long
Used Star Wars DAS time
Went through SB line for Star Wars since it was short and rode again
Ate lunch
While DH and one kid waited to order I grabbed a ToT return time
Went to check in for Star Wars Jedi Training
Did Star Wars Jedi Training
Shopped on the way down to ToT
Used ToT DAS time
Used ToT FP
Went into F!
Watched Frozen fireworks

It was really easy - hardest park probably being MK since it's more spread out with more to do. My suggestion would be to get a return time in the same area of a FP. Example, if you've got a FP for Space grab a DAS time for Buzz.

If you want touring plan help, I would suggest Josh's cheat sheets from easywdw. We used them our last trip and accomplished everything we wanted to do between 8 and 10:30.

The DAS at Disneyland is handled differently than the DAS at WDW. I believe DLR has kiosks where you can get a return time, whereas at WDW you must go to the ride to get the return time. Luckily, one person can go to get the return time, so the child doesn't get upset that you are not immediately riding.

I agree with the other posters who suggested you FP the rides you know you will need to ride (or the ones with the longest lines, like 7DMT or PP). Also agree that it's key to always have a return time on your DAS. This will take some running on the part of someone in your family who will need to be running to get the next time before you hit your next FP ride. We would take a bathroom or snack break or ride a low line attraction while the runner got the next time. It also helped for me to look at a map before I made my FP and I planned our day geographically, which reduced the running back and forth between lands. That was a tremendous help.

Thank you for the help. I was wondering... we are going in June, and I know the parks are open for later times, or late emh - are the FP lines closed then? When we had the GAC I remember being able to use the FP line at TSM... I seem to remember hearing that the lines are closed, so that DAS won't work at late nights...

There is a difference between open late hours and open late for Extra a Magic Hours (EMH).

For being open late, most attractions will still be using Fastpass Plus. For the few without Fastpass Plus, they would handle it the same as during regular hours.
Some that normally have Fastpass may not be using it because it just us not that busy. For those, if the wait is short, you can just get into the regular line. If it is a longer wait, you can ask the CM at the entrance what alternatives there may be.

For EMH, they are generally not using Fastpass. In their experience most contractions are going to be very short waits, pretty much walking right on. For those that are not, you can ask the CM at the entrance.
