A Little Lost...

So, I've made the best attempt I can at beginning to post, but I'm still a little lost. I seem to be having a lot of trouble navigating the boards. It may just be because these are the first boards I've ever been on, but I just don't know how to go about finding topics that would be interesting to us and start posting. I seem to always be clicking links that take me to the regular DIS website....HELP!!!

Good morning! It can sometimes be a little hard navigating any website. The discussion boards are easier than you think. It just takes a little time to figure it all out. What kinds of topics are you looking for? Resorts? Dining? Theme Parks? If so, just click on Disney Trip Planning Forums. There you'll see links to each of those topics plus more. If you have a specific question about a resort, go to the Resort board and click New Thread. Type in your question and hit Submit. If you have a specific question about a restaurant, go to the Dining board and do the same thing. And so forth and so on.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions.

Once you get the hang of Disboards, be warned...they are addicting!!

You are so lucky to have found these boards! I don't know what I did without them! The more you learn, the more there is still to learn. But then, isn't the journey the point? My hubbie hates the boards, but he is organizationally challenged, and just can't figure out how to get around. Of course, he will NEVER ask for directions...

You may find it helpful to establish a "routine" of specific boards to visit.

I always visit Theme Parks, Dining, Transportation, the 3 DVC boards, and the Rumors board.

Time permitting, I hop around some others.

2 Disney Mamas - PM means Private Message. You can send a note to someone without it being posted on the boards.

Click on the persons user name and a box will be displayed with various options. One of the options is to send a private message.

Thank you everyone so much for replying!! That is helpful, I'm really internet savvy, but just couldn't seem to get the hang of it, and now I think I just might get it!!! I'll be posting alot (I hope) and look forward to talking with everyone ( I'll be posting more if Pete's "Project X" that would utilize my iPhone is an app for the boards!!!) Let's hope!!!

Well firstly hello from NH! You want to start by clicking on The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com link at the top of the page. That will take you to the forum list and then just choose which forum you'd like to explore and that will take you to the list of threads you can comment on. Hope that helps.
