I just finally got around to watching seasons 5 and 6 of Sex and the City. I may just be too emotional right now but I just LOVED the final season and especially the way it ended. I got all weepy at the end.

Am I the only one who felt that way? I can't believe there are not any more for me to watch. It was such a great show.

I loved it too, I thought it ended perfectly.

I was actually against them making a movie and I was so happy to hear that Kim Catrell backed out. A movie would've screwed that perfect ending all up, especially since I read in an interview that they had planned to give Steve and Miranda all sorts of marital problems.

I really liked the ending too. I was disappointed with how they ended Samantha's plot line. I think they could have made her, uh, bedroom scene, a little nicer, showing how she evolved in her relationship with Smith. But, I was happy that she ended up with Big. Even when he was a jerk, I still always liked them together.

Yup, I loved it and miss it something awful. I have already started watching my season 1 DVD's over again. I loved every single (well ALMOST every...) character in the show. :D

I loved the way it ended with Carrie and Big together! It couldn't have been any better! And when Charlotte found out they were getting a baby from China, I teared up right along with her!

I miss the show terribly! :(

I was just rewatching the last season last night and I love it! I find that my favorite episodes are always the ones with Big in it so of course I was estatic about the way it ended!

I cried through the whole last two episodes! I just thought the show ended so perfectly. I was always a Big fan even though I did love Aidan. And when they revealed his name I was actually almost jumping up and down with excitement  I was way too involved in the show I guess  My Sunday nights are not the same without Carrie & Company and I so miss seeing her fashion choices. :) I thought the show was so well written. I have all the DVDs so I take them out quite often and watch them - and if I happen to flip through TBS and they are on I end up sitting and watching it even though I own the unedited versions I still feel compelled to watch. :teeth:

I loved how they ended it! Perfect. I always liked Carrie and Mr. Big together, though. This is one show that I never tire of watching over and over. I go through the entire series on dvd (or HBO on demand for the sets I don't have) and when I reach the end, I start all over!

I watched this while it was on HBO but just yesterday I finished re-watching the entire series on DVD  (I got them all for Christmas and I've been home from work on disability all month). I bawled my eyes out during the last episode (and through out some of the two eps leading up to the finale). It was abso-fing-lutely perfect. ;) I *loved* how they used that moment from the very first episode. :cloud9:

I was so happy to see Carrie end up with Big. He was definitely my favorite choice for her. I did NOT like Aleksander. I LOVED Aidan, but as much as I love Carrie, he was too good for her. Oh, I didn't like Burger either. Blech. I also love who ALL the girls ended up with. Harry is great, Smith is HOT and so sweet, and Steve is just so right for Miranda. I couldn't be happier with the way it ended.

I think the moment that got me the most was when Carrie was having dinner with the girls for her last night in NY and she looks at all of them and says, "Today I had a thought. What if I had never met you?" HBO uses this line for one of their promos and it gets me teary every time! LOL

I think they wrote his character the way it was so you wouldn't like him! It made it easier for those who were against Carrie/Mr. Big to accept it.

You're right, they did write it that way. But I've seen on some polls where some people actually liked him and had wished that Carrie had ended up with him. :confused3

So am I the only one who's been wondering what Brady's full name is going to be now that Miranda and Steve are married?

As for the final episode, I liked that she ended up with Big, but I was still left feeling like it was sorta anticlimactic after all of the massive buildup it received (my boyfriend and I were loyal Sunday-night-HBOers, so he was even a little excited to see what would happen.) Maybe I was just expecting something HUGE (not sure what, exactly), but I was a little disappointed.

I had never seen one episode of Sex & the City until a few months ago (we don't get HBO). We rented them and I was instantly hooked! My husband gave me the first five seasons on DVD for Christmas. I have to wait until my birthday until I get season 6. :scared1: I love that show. It is very well written and so funny. Too bad that I just discovered it!
