We called MS today to shorten our May trip, and on a whim decided we wanted to go somewhere other than OKW. Less than three months out, during F&G, we figured there wasn't much hope, but we would try. All they could do was say no. :confused3

BCV had some of the days, but not all of them, so we asked MS to check BWV. Yeah, like they'd have anything. Well, they did! A 1BR for 5/19 - 5/25, and -- are you sitting down? -- it's a Standard View!! :jumping1: Even MS was shocked to see that come up, and I'm sure she could hear my jaw hit the floor.

No sense buying Powerball tickets for this weekend... we've used up our "magic" for the week. ::yes::

Great News !! :cheer2:

Surely sounds like a winning lottery ticket to me !!

:rockband: Congratulations! :rockband:

I made my first reservation today and i got a 1 bedroom at the BWV with a boardwalk view for 5/29 -5/31 Memorial Day and Flower and Garden Festival...I thought that was a little magic too.

That's great.

Just from some of the things I've been reading, it seems as though some of the traditional crowd patterns are changing. I really think more and more people are reading these sites and Birnbaums and all the other information out there and planning their trips for 'non traditional' times. As a school teacher, I see more and more families each year up here in the northeast taking time off school to vacation. Who can blame them! Crowds, prices, travel, weighed against making up some work after they get back.

Another post from someone who just returned from BCV talked about the size of the crowds in the last week or two and they were attributed to breaks in the school years in some of the larger school districts. That would be a lot of people headed to WDW from a fairly small area of the country.

I'd be interested if anyone else has an opinion on this.

Thanks SenecaBeach, I was thinking exactly the same thing. :cheer2:

I also think you see resort switching by others, as well as cancellations, thus opening up one week blocks.

I hadn't even realized that F&G opened 4/15, which is during our last 4 days at WDW, so I get to go to my first F&G. :cool1:

Hi,
