Have ADR's for Liberty Tree - is this back to a character meal? DS(14) picked this restaurant and doesn't care, just curious.

Also, I have seen a post where someone was asking about Character Dinner at Chef Mickey's. We haven't been to CM's in years, but though Character Dining was only for breakfast. Anyone have info that would help us out? Thanks in advance. :)

No, LTT does not have characters on a regular basis any longer, BUT, at certain times of the year when Crystal Palace is under refurbishment, those meals move there during the refurbishment period.

Chef Mickey's is breakfast and dinner.

You can check out Disney's website, WDWinfo.com or All Ears for menus, prices and pics.

HTH, Tiger :)

Chef Mickey's has had a character dinner since at least 1999, but back then it was a sit-down meal rather than a buffet.

When I went at the end of December, beginning of January they were doing character dinners at the LT. We didn't know at the time when we booked and we didnt have our camera with is so we missed out on some really good picture oppurtunities :(

It was a character meal for a short time early this year because the Crystal Palace was going through a rehab as soon as it opened back up the characters went away again. It is a good meal without the characters.

We have 3 boys, and two are pre-teens - Liberty Tree is their second favorite restaurant at WDW (although they do miss the characters.)

If you are looking for a character dinner at some point during your trip, a good alternative to Chef Mickey's is Garden Grill in EPCOT. That's our boys' favorite restaurant, and GG features Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale. It's also served family style instead of buffet, which we enjoy. And we've found it to be less hectic than other character meals.
