So my best friend and I have our yearly trip planned not realized it was Pop Warner week, yay 😒. I have read they can really make the parks crowded, and well lately it seems like its just insane busy anyways. We were debating changing our dates some but not sure its worth it right now were going Tues Dec 7 - Sat 11th. Pop Warner is the 4th - 11th. My question is would it be a big difference in avoiding them if we went earlier in the week, so instead do Sat 4 - to Wed the 8th. I am going to assume most coaches wont be letting cheerleaders go to parks in the midst of comp days, my daughter used to do competition. Meaning if they compete multiple days being being eliminated they wont be spending off time parks, so thinking as the week goes on more and more girls will be showing up with free time? I could be completely wrong. But as anyone gone during this? Does it make a huge difference? Is it like when all the South Americans come and theres hundreds in groups together LOL. Also we'll use Genie+ assuming its worth it, Ill be stalking bloggers after today haha.

1. Don't know where you read that, but it's not much of a "thing."
2. Some. But, especially in the daytime, there will be little evidence of the kids in the parks.
3. Nothing to worry about.
4. Nope.
There are plenty of other things to sweat about regarding the "new WDW rules of park-going" but Pop Warner is a "blip" on the radar.

The group from Pa. from our local area is staying at Universal and have no plans to visit WDW. The tickets they have are for Universal and with time constraints and the price of tickets Disney is out for them this year. We have visited several times in previous years and with the exception of a couple times we really didn't notice an impact from them.

Pop Warner is HORRIBLE. 1 adult for 10 kids. Glad to see that Disney realize the money from this group is not worth the trouble.
Great that Universal has the fun of this group.

I agree, we've been several times when it is Pop Warner week, we once saw them at CBR where we were staying but it was a non issue, just lots of buses. Parks did not seem affected IMHO

I've been twice during Pop Warner.
I had no different of an experience.
Heck I even stayed in the same hallway as the football players and never heard a peep.
Also it really hasn't been insanely busy...

yep no more Pop Warner, they belong to Universal now. last year WDW refused them in order to host the NBA, and they up and moved everything to Uni.
