A Kid's Eye View Of Disney - January 2009 Trip Report

you trip report is soo good. I cant wait to read more. Im 17 and writing one of these intimidates me so way too go!

You're doing a great job! Loved all the pics in this installment - sounds like you really munched your way around World Showcase. I hate bridges, too, and we have a bridge here in Jacksonville called the Dames Point Bridge. It is a huge suspension bridge and it makes me nauseous whenever I have to drive over it. Luckily, I've only been on it twice in a year.

Keep up the good work!

Into the most magical gate ever:

Done with China, next Germany! I had to get a big pretzel here!

YUMMY! Man I could go for one of those right now!

Great installment! And I can't believe you ride Mission Space! I don't think Lauren and I will EVER get on that ride!

Have you ever seen pix of the Tappan Zee Bridge in NY? I have to drive over it every time I drive down to Jersey. That bridge is sooooo darn long!!!!

I'm subscribing to your trip report. Can't wait for more pictures!
That bridge looks scary!:scared1:

Awesome chapter I really enjoyed it! Did you guys get out of the car for the picture of the WL arch?? lol

Thanks!

Yea, my dad hopped out, don't worry, we didn't cause traffic. DB and I remained in the car, it was way too crowded with stuff to get out quickly.

This makes me smile!:cloud9:

That pretzel was GIGANTIC. And so good!!! I love passing through all 3 of those gates, you just feel the magic right then and there.

Yea, I love Mission Space! I only do green version though. Only green. You guys should atleast try it. If Lauren can handle RnRC, she can do green version easy peazy. :upsidedow

Thanks a bazillion! I love World Showcase.

My parents told me one time they had to drive over this old rickety bridge. I'm glad I wasn't there. :scared:

I will be taking my 8 year old great niece to the world in August and I want her to read this..first tho, she has to find out that we are going this year and not next....The other thing...I HATE bridges...yes, I drive but I am so nervous when I have to drive over them.:scared1: ..too bad I can't drive with my eyes closed:lmao: Can't wait to read more...will you get some extra credit at school for doing this:surfweb: I hope so:laughing:

Aww, thanks. :lovestruc

Ooh! If you write a TR when you go, tell me! I'll read!

 No, I'm homeschooled so no credit for me, but my parents say it's really good.

Thanks for reading!

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge in 5/07 and loved it!!!!

We are staying at Beach Club Villas. Any tips for my 10 & 7 year olds on how to get the most out of our resort?

Hi, thanks for reading! Beach Club is really nice. You guys should definitely check out the sand bottom pool. My brother and I used to pick up the sand from the bottom of the pool, then drop and it made a mini explosion. :rotfl2:
If the slide is open, definetely check that out. They have a really nice store there, I got a cute pair of Pooh earrings there. Try Beaches and Cream if they like ice cream a lot. Or, just walk around and and look at everything. Probably the best thing is the short walk to Epcot. So convenient! :thumbsup2

It's so nice to see another girl who loves Epcot. My daughter will be 8 next month and she LOVES Epcot!!! We'll be there again next weekend so I'll post the link to my TR on there. I think you'd like her. ;)

Great report. I wish that I could convince my 11 year old son to enjoy writing! By the way, I'm not a "bridge person" either--they scare me to death and I hold my breath until we've crossed.

Yea, I also love studying different cultures in school. That' another reason why I love Epcot.

I read through your New Floridian Life Report and Ally is so cute! I love her blonde hair!

My brother is all looking over my shoulder.:headache: I'll post more later. :)

Oh, I know! The bridge was soo freaky. My least favorite part was going up that ramp to get to it. :scared1:

My son loves to write too--but I'm not sure he could do as good as job. It's great to see WDW in the eyes of young person--his age. Thanks so much for taking the time!!!!I'm waiting for next installment:surfweb:

I can't believe I missed that you were doing your trip report!! (I need a little slap the forehead smilie!!)

What a great start.....you are a wonderful writer:goodvibes

Aw, thanx! She loves the countries too. At her old school she studied German so when we went to the Germany pavillion, she got to talk to the students working there, and they were talking in German! It was fun for her!

Okay, I left you with us getting back to the resort, getting the luggage to our room, hopping into the pool and grabbing some sodas from Roarin Forks to refresh ourselves for a night at MK!

I have to admit, there’s like, 5 pictures in this update.
I promise I will gradually get more!!!

Pool time!

I talked a little about our room in the last update, but be had Room 1005, with a good view. Very quiet.

Okay, we managed to hop a boat to the MK for the night. It wasn’t EMH tonight, so we weren’t gonna stay for long. Through the turnstiles and up Main Street, I feel the magic! Towards Frontierland we go, my favorite land.
On the way, we see this AWESOME piano player.

IMG_3778.jpg

Over to BTM, one of my favorite rides. We snag FP’s for it, and head over to Pinocchio Haus for Dinner. Pizza and salad for everybody. DB and I had the best time waving to people on IASW. We got a seat right by the window.

IMG_3779.jpg

When we had finished and left, we walked by Peter Pan. I don’t know why, but that ride ALWAYS has an insanely long line, unless it’s AM EMH, and you get there right when it opens. Anyway, for some weird reason, almost EVERYTIME we went to the MK this trip, we rode People mover (TTA, what ever) first. I love this “ride.” Especially the part when you’re going at “super speed” into Mickey’s Star Traders. After that, Buzz Lightyear was next. I stink at it. Everyone else is good. I always just get a messed up laser gun. :snooty: Alrighty, next we headed over to the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor. We’ve seen this show tons of times, but I still love all the corny jokes. We’ve never gotten picked to participate though. If you have ever gotten picked, share your story! We managed to fill the gigglewatt container, and got outta there. Out of Tomorrowland, and into a Teacup we went! Faster, faster, faster!

IMG_3780.jpg

The lines were really long for a lot of things, so the best thing was IASW. Sing it with me!

“It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hope, and a world of fears
There’s so much that we share, that it’s time we’re aware
It’s A Small World After All!”

Unfortunately, we had a boat block, and we got stuck in that scene for a little. By then, Wishes had started and it was time to cash in our BTM FP! So, I get a little freaked out by fireworks, especially when I’m not facing them and I don’t see it coming. I kept my head down, and walked into Frontierland. Don’t get me wrong, I love fireworks. I just don’t like to be taken by surprise. Fortunately, it was over by the time we got on the ride. This is one of my favorite rides. It’s so much fun. I never want it to be over. Back out of Frontierland, and we wanted to try Snow White’s Scary Adventure. On our first trip, when I was like 4-5, this terrified me. And you know what, I really don’t think that they should make a Snow White ride scary. That’s not what it’s about. Anyway, we got out of there, and we headed back to the resort. Shower, change into pajamas, some cookies for dessert, and we fell asleep to Stacy! A great first day in WDW.

Coming Up Next: It’s Our AK Day! EE, Not For Me!

ok love the report would have never thought to let my 11 year old write a report maybe this summer for our trip in Aug.

Ummm, hello? You're right in front of Casey's! How could you not go in for some cheese fries?

We love the TTA too! It's a nice "down" ride. And Lauren is also REALLY bad at BuzzLightyear! I beat her every year; and she pouts about it every year!

Monsters Inc. is great. While we've never been highlighted, they did choose Lauren's joke one time: "Did you hear the Invisable Man married the Invisable Woman? Yeah, their kids are nothing to look at!" HA!HA!
