A.K. Concierge Level or Cruise

Hello! I have a rather odd question that I wasn't sure where to place. I have a choice between going on a 7 day Disney Cruise (which I have never been on) or staying at the Animal Kingdom Concierge Level for 7 days. I have been to Walt Disney World before but I have never stayed on the Concierge Level and I am more there to enjoy the hotel and just being in Disney than trying to visit all the parks. If anyone has any suggestions to help me make a decision, it would be greatly appreciated. In addition, I am going solo so I really do not have to factor any one else’s opinion but my own. Thanks a bunch.

i agree - do the cruise - if predictions are right - the cruise schedule may change so this cruise will be special -

Without a doubt, do the CRUISE!!! Especially if you have never done it, it is entirely magical. You can't compare concierge to the cruise....IMO.

I don't want to be a thread killer, but I say do the AKL. We did the Disney Wonder three years ago and were so disappointed. The ship was lovely, but the food was mediocre and the ports weren't that special. The room was small and we even had the family cabin with the balcony. The pools and hot tubs were miniscule and loaded with kids (and whatever the kids deposited in there). We didn't swim until we went to Atlantis on a shore excursion that we had to arrange ourselves.
Now this year we're going to stay at the AKL on the concierge level so that we can do the safaris. It's a beautiful hotel with great restaurants. And ....the animals! It's going to be my longed for trip to Africa without leaving the States. I know we'll go to the parks (with a five year old , how can you not?) , but our main goal is to enjoy the hotel this year. I can't wait!!

Thanks for everyon's help. The cruise will surely have plently of Disney Magic but so will the AKL. I think I'm leaning more toward to cruise because it will be so inclusive. But I will have to see. Thanks again!

We have done AKL concierge and loved it...we have also done the 7 day western caribbean and 3 night bahama DCL cruises.

We loved them all..that is a rough decision..but, I guess, I would go with the cruise..for the chance to get to to other countries!

Well I have figred out how much a cruise will costs and the discounts for AKL using Mousesavers and I decided on going to WDW. However since I have decided to stay for so long I think I will break up the trip between the AKL and Poly concerige. Soo tough of a decision. I figure I could always say for a cruise later on and maybe get a better deal later on if I plan further ahead. Thanks for everyone's help and if anyone has any reviews of those 2 conciergs that would be a great hep! Thanks Again!
