I love the Mickey head Saints shirts! My sister's family and I are 27 days away from our Disney trip. We live in Covington and love our Saints! How can I get these shirts? Do you have a picture of the full view?

Hi Neighbor!!!

I am posting this as I am watching our Saints play the Raiders! Geaux Saints!

I made our shirts by printing the design on iron on transfer paper then ironing them onto black shirts. I am NOT crafty but these were easy to do. I did learn, however, if you want them to last, buy a higher quality transfer paper to print on. You do need an inkjet printer as well but really easy to do.

We had ours personalized by the designer, Maize&Blue, but I don't believe he is designing anymore. Maybe someone else can personalize them for you.

First, 35 days left!!!!

Now that we've gotten that out of the way...

Day 5 - Departure day
Free day! I'm thinking we will be back at Epcot to ride test track and Soarin' again and eat (of course). This is not set in stone because whatever we didn't get to do, we will do on this day until the time we leave. We will probably leave around 3ish to drive 5 hours to our travel hotel.

Other Stuff:
UPS has never come by to pick up those cases of shirts that Disney accidentally sent me. I called again and they are going to mail me the label. I'm just going to go drop them off at UPS.

Tour Guide Mike has updated his recommendations for the time of our trip so I'll be looking at that this weekend.

I subscribed to Touringplans.com. I was curious because as much as I love Tour Guide Mike, I don't think he is keeping up his site. I also wanted access to TP's Lines app.

I plan to spend a lot of relaxing Disney time this weekend as the weather is getting worse. Tropical storm Lee is going to make a mess so I'm going to stay inside and hope we don't flood. If everything is ok, Monday my family is coming over for food and Disney fun

I have DD8 & DS2's costumes ready to go. Gavin is going to be Peter Pan and Savanah's going to be an 80's Valley Girl. We searched and searched and searched for her costume, she could not make a decision. Finnally, we found one and of course, they don't have her sizeb I figured, how bad
can it be to put together?? Sooooo, we came up with this:

Well, I know it's not a long post, but that's all I got for now. We will be getting together with DSis & DB on Labor Day for food and Disney fun! Since TGM updated his LCDs we will take a look at everything and see if we need to change anything.

LOTS to report...

We finally got our Mickey Mail so we're official!

Our van needed front roters and brake pads and an oil change before the trip = done!

BUT the engine light came on.... booo!

Tropical Storm Lee passed through a few miles to the west of us and I THOUGHT I would have some free time to catch up on everybody's trip reports if we kept our electricity. NOPE - the rain managed to come in under the front door and UNDER our laminate flooring. So we ended up ripping up flooring to dry out. Our flooring is still up until the flooring guys come. I'm thinking we may change our laminate to ceramic tile just in the foyer. I guess we'll see when they come...

One blessing from the storm was the timing. No school was missed so no work was missed which means no days taken away from fall break! Hopefully, we don't have any more come our way.

I did get some work done on my "Disney Documents." I guess I'll post pics of those later when they are done.

Labor Day ended up being very nice and the family came over. Sis and I went looking for Disney Halloween items which we did find at our local Walgreens. I made another trip this weekend and found a few other things. Sis and I also stopped at Home Depot for.............you guessed it - Mickeyhead shaped paint chips! I guess because it was right after the storm hit, the store was busy and there were a LOT of employees around. We tried to act nonchalant as we planned who was going to grab what colors. I know they are free but I was just waiting for one of the probably 6 workers standing 10 feet away to come ask what we were taking so many for. We weren't greedy and didn't take all of them. I do feel that we have corrupted a child who came to stand next to us. She probably saw us because she started picking out her own Even as I passed through the exit, I was still waiting for the alarms to go off and imagining us throwing the paint chips into the air and running for our lives. I know, active imagination but we had so much fun.

I love the costumes and all of the stuff that you've picked up! I'm sorry to hear about your flooring. That really stinks. I'm glad that it wasn't worse for you though.

for Mickey Mail! I keep thinking it's only about 50 days away until ours arrives. Funny how our countdowns to Disney take on new shapes and forms to make it seem 'closer!'

The kids costumes are so cute! And I love the decorations you have found. You definitely inspire me to figure out how to get there around the Halloween season sometime!

I share in your excitment! I arrive a day before y'all! I was so excited when I got my Mickey mail! We have 2 days scheduled at the same parks. Animal Kingdom on Sat (and lunch at Flame Tree BBQ) and EPCOT on Monday. Good minds think alike!
After seeing the buys at Walgreens I have decided to hit them up this week! Won't be long and we can start packing!!

I have been overwhelmingly busy and some of it was my choice (like going to yesterday's Saints game, thank you DB and DS!) I have a game tonight but I promise I will provide an update soon!!! By this weekend at least. Been working on Disney stuff and just had to say....

Thanks. Flooring is still torn up. Just got quote on changing the laminate to tile just in the foyer area. Think we're going to get other quotes as well.

I really haven't forgotten about you guys.

Our schedules have not left a lot of time for the Disboards.
The kids have religion classes on different nights. Then DD has dancing on a separate night and DS has gymnastics on again a different night. Add in flag football that DS wanted to do so bad that we had to cut back on his gymnastics time in order to be able to it all. DH works with the high school drumline and has his own practice, marching festivals, and game schedules and I work with the middle school dance team and have practices and games. That means we play catch up every weekend. Sometimes I feel like a hamster in a wheel. With this crazy life, I am soooo ready for this trip! Some family time would be nice.

I am really feeling the pressure now with the trip getting so close. I have been working on my "Disney Documents" and I have gone over the daily plans in my head so much, I can recite them. Now, I need to get things done. Unfortunately, I am so limited on time to do them.

To do:

Get more lime green mickey heads
(Why? because when I laminated the first ones, the clear labels turned dark in the heat.)

Map out my window
(I have decorations but not sure how I am putting them on the window. I need to know if I need more or less stuff.)

Reprint corrected pocket cards
(I have pocket cards that map out our days. They were ALL DONE when Disney decided to change park hours.)

Fix my binder
(I think I have everything trip specific updated and printed but its all sitting on top of my binder.)

Shop for miscellaneous trip items
(I have a list but I need to check it twice.)

Haircuts
(DS and I need haircuts and I couldn't get in until this Saturday.)

Pedicures
(We ALL decided we needed pedicures before the trip so we are going together this Sunday.)

Get a hamster babysitter
(I think my neighbor will take them. Just need to find the time to go over and ask her.)

Finish DH's costume
(Really just shop for pieces that he needs to complete "the look"

Start Packing!!!!

It is really crunch time now and I don't know if I can manage to fit it all in. Regardless.....I am going to WDW and nothing is better than that!

I want to post pics later of all of these completed things, but for now, I have a game to go to.

I'll leave you guys with a picture of my sister and me at the Saints game Sunday. As busy as I am, I wasn't about to turn down gift tickets! Thanks to my brother, sister, and brother-in-law for the opportunity to go. I had so much fun dancing in the stadium with my sister! It was a GREAT game as we fought tooth and nail to beat the Texans! Who dat??!!

I can't believe how busy we got right before the trip! I never got to say goodbye. Well, we are back and PDD is starting to set in. (post disney depression) The cure or at least treatment, is to write a trip report! I'm uploading pics and gathering my thoughts and hopefully will be able to share our trip with you guys.
