A holiday wish from me to you

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all over the DIS
Folks were busy getting ready for their holiday biz
There were presents to wrap and food to prepare
As the sounds of the season and snowflakes filled the air

But I have to step back from the crazy Christmas Eve night
To wish my DIS friends a holiday that’s merry and bright
And if TLinden16—that’s me—had a few million to spare
I’d gather all my DIS friends together with care

I’d take you all to the World that we all love so much
And we take in the sights, the sounds, and the touch
We’d go over to sit in my beloved Jellyrolls
We’d sing, drink, and eat popcorn from a gigantic bowl

There’d be Mickey bars for Marla, and the layered margaritas would flow
FigmentVI and her family would dance, and enjoy the piano show
Tequila shots (and cake) would be waiting for KathyTX and Beanie
And what’s that I see? It’s some coal for Alex, that meanie

One_Cat and his wife would raise their glasses to toast
Rhonda, Pumba, Debi, Karen, and our other beloved chat hosts
Dan Murphy would be there spreading goodwill and cheer
While Zurg and Buz downed another icy cold beer

I’d take some time to chat with a Hockey Mom or two
And Binny, NHAnn, and ScottWDW would join the hockey chat, too
IluvDisney would be wearing her twinkling head gear
And Mackey Mouse is singing Sweet Caroline, can’t you hear

Travelin’ Tigger and JerseyDizDreamer would share a laugh or two
Ray Sharpton would tell everyone “It’s great to meet you.”
Nativetxn, Snowwark, and TigH would be dancing in the conga line
Those nifty gals sure know how to have a fun time

We’d have another Drink Around the World with our Favorite Towncrier
And Mouseaholic would lead us in carols by the Wilderness Lodge Fire
Zurg’sWife and MattsMom would join me on the WDW Hottie tour
Our first stop would be to see David, we know that for sure

Delswife would be taking notes for another funny trip tale
For telling me about the DIS, PandyPaws gets a few pints of ale
NancyIL, ASFCurly, and Helenabear smile great big hellos
Pirateeast is just happy because to Disney World he finally got to go

To all of the Disers not mentioned by name
Please excuse the omission, sometimes I have a forgetful brain
But everyone would be invited on my dream Disney trip
What could be better than a trip with Disers, so cool and so hip

So, I’ll end this long post before PopDaddy starts to complain
We all know these long posts can drive him insane
There’s just one more thing that I’d like you all to hear
Merry Christmas, my friends, and Happy New Year

And strolling into Jellybeans is our favorite DIS Mom
KathyTX's mom really is da bomb
With smiles, and hugs, and friendliness to all
She's a mom to all DISers, the big and the small

That's the problem with including names in things. You always forget to include people.

I am sitting here feeling very full but had to comment on your wonderful tribute to the Dis....Karen, we did have fun, didn't we?? I was sitting in church earlier today belting out the Christmas carols..........thinking, hmmmm I love Karaoke and Jellyrolls.........

Buz and Diane and the Zurgs, I hope you are having a wonderful time in the WDW... wish I was there.....at least Diane would recognize the accent..

I just got home from Christmas dinner at my sister's house, and I was telling my family about how I wrote this poem, about Alex's Christmas tree, and KathyTX's mom. They just don't get it.

My family was also starting to take bets as to whether or not I'd be going back next December to see all of you again. They all think that I'll be going. As of right now, I hadn't planned on it (have trips planned for May and October).
