And last night's dream was a doozy!

The dreams are always different, but it's always the same house. It's a gigantic mansion, all brick with white trim, 3 stories. Sometimes it's my house, sometimes it's a relative's house, sometimes I'm just standing outside looking up at it. In all of my dreams I recognize it as the same house, even if I haven't seen the outside in my dream. And I NEVER go to the third floor, that's where the main ghost is (the woman who previously owned the house) and she's very dangerous. I know I (or anyone) will be harmed if I go up there. Every time I see the outside of the mansion in my dreams, lights go on and off on the third floor. I've been dreaming about this house for a few years.

What's really weird is that I like to dream about this mansion. Several different scenes took place in my dream last night. There were times when I knew I was dreaming and I remember not wanting to wake up because I wanted to see what else would happen. I didn't wake up frightened, although I was frightened in parts of the dream.... it was like watching a really good movie.

In my dream it was my house, but I was too much of a coward to live there. I would go inside during the day, though, and I showed several different people around. The house is beautifully and extravagantly furnished. There are so many rooms that no one has seen them all, even on the first floor. In my dream I am familiar with some of the first floor rooms and can comfortable find my way to the second floor and a couple of rooms there. I know where the door to the third floor staircase is and constantly warn people away from it.

In one scene last night, a woman was showing us (I don't remember who was with me) around some of the house. When we got outside, she didn't follow and we realized that she had been a ghost. One of my friends pulled out her business card and it had a different name from what she told us to call her. We realized that she had said her name backwards and somehow that's how we knew she was a ghost.

There was a married couple in one part. It was the second marriage for the man and he didn't want to go inside the house. His wife talked him into it. There was a photograph hanging on the wall with five young men and women in it and the pictures turned into ghosts and started talking. It turned out that the man was their father and had killed them all. He had told his wife that he didn't have any kids.

My grandmother, who has been dead for over 20 years was in one part of my dream and she didn't believe the house was haunted. I took her up to the second floor and things started moving on their own. My grandmother was short and very obese, but she literally ran down the stairs.

Someone went up to the third floor. They didn't explore any rooms, they just got to the top of the stairs and then they turned around and ran down the stairs and then ran down the stairs to the first floor and out the front door, shrieking all the way.

In the last part I can remember, some cats and dogs ran into the house. They were lifted up and sucked through the ceiling. Then it seemed I was overlooking a room on the third floor and there were a couple of ghost children playing with the animals.

Weird, huh? I hope I dream about it again soon.

Do you have any dreams or elements of dreams that keep coming back?

Who, me? Never! ;)

Oh, you mean did I see the house when I was growing up. :teeth: I don't know, but it sure is a beautiful house, both inside and out. I wish that mean ghost would leave so I could move in.

I think you should write all of these down and convert to a screenplay....

I'm glad that I did a search for this post. This is very interesting! I agree with Mickey88. You ought to write it all down like a story and see where it goes.
