My dream rig is up for sale on eBay at the lowest price I've every seen one! It is a 2000 Pace Arrow Vision 35R. I :lovestruc the 35R floorplan! It has two big slides: one in the living room for the sofa and dinette, and one in the bedroom for the bed and wardrobe. Moving both the bed and the wardrobe is the big deal for me... it makes for a huge bedroom with plenty of room for changing clothes or drying off coming out of the shower. Usually I see these guys in the $40-50,000 range, but this one has a Buy-It-Now price at $32,000! (and I see every one ever listed, eBay e-mails me as soon as one goes up!) This is a great deal for someone... or you could make it an early Christmas present for me! Say, does anybody need a type B positive kidney? :lmao:

We'll take a Kidney!! :lmao: Oh sorry, that was bad, :rotfl:

32k Does sound like a great deal. I wish I could afford a motohome!

Hey...can you actually sell kidneys? I have an exta one...Im serious.

I wonder if you have to put a disclaimer about kungaloosh if you sell a kidney?

Wow that is a bargain- it looks brand new and the mileage is sure low (IMO) for a 2000 model!
I sure wish we could afford it! We'd have so much more "moving around" room in there. wahhhhhhhhhh
(although no idea where all my kids would sleep- and they do love their bunkbeds in our TT, and when travelling they wouldn't be strapped in their seats in our vehicle towing our TT, etc. etc. Trying to see the positive things about having our TT instead of that RV LOL)

Yeah, the low milage is actually a bit of a concern when shopping for a motorhome. If it's low because they only ever took it to a park 10 miles from home every couple of weeks, that's great. But if it means they took a couple of long trips a year, and then it sat idle for months, well, that really take a toll on the engine and tranny. I would want to casually work into conversation how they used it before buying.

Oh, true dat.... I hadn't thought about that! (if our TT had mileage though it would be the first scenario you mentioned except further than 10 miles! Geesh in Texas there isn't ANYTHING just 10 miles away- not even the next town from us.LOL So I guess it was my "Texas" thinking that thought low mileage is abnormal LOL We rack up a lot of miles doing nothing around here... since everything is so far away LOL)

Leaking roof around bathroom skylight, headliner above driver's seat is hanging down and there is a good chance the tires are still original. The early V-10 engine also had spark plug issue with too few threads holding plugs so some were blowing out.

$32K might not be that great of a deal compared to others out there.

I wouldn't go fpr this one.

when we look for one in the future, will you come with us? :flower3:

Yea and the early V-10s are the lower power 2 valve type and that probably has 4.56 gears and will only break like 6mpg going down hill. Personally I would never own a class A MH with anything but a DP type. A gasser in a class C is O.K., but not in a full sized class A.

I know what you mean about miles in Texas. No matter what we want to do its a hours drive in every direction. It was funny when we go to my cousins house in Florida no matter where we want to go our cousin always says its about 10 minutes away.

I asked for the date stamp on the tires, I offered him 25k cash if it has newer tires on it. It is almost 10 yrs old so a couple of small leaks don't bother me. I doubt he will take my offer as he hasn't ans yet.

Uh ditto that! How observant!!!!!!

Well when you're born and raised here you're used to it. It wasn't until as an adult we started going other places (ie: out of Texas) that we realized the WHOLE WORLD is not like that! I mean we're just like used to it taking for-evahhh to get somewhere to specific stores or restaurants. Our area was even worse in the old days (my youngster days) when there was practically NOTHING here and the closest was the DFW area. Atleast now our once smaller towns have SOME things here and if not- many more things can be reached with a 30min drive each way instead of an hour drive each way. LOL We're coming up in the world around these parts. I reckon. LOL

But it was a bit overwhelming our first trip (drove the first trip and stayed offsite, like morons LOL) once we got to the Kissimee/Orlando area... it's not like at home- not even like in the Dallas area. I mean everything was RIGHT THERE NEXT TO EACH OTHER. I mean like you can't even blink or you've missed 15 things already. LOL Kinda overwhelming if you're looking around trying to find a specific store or restaurant. LOL (atleast in the area where we stayed offsite) Things aren't like that around here... you have time to blink and still see everything. Heck in some places- (if you're not driving, obviously LOL)- you can take a 30min nap and not miss a thing. LOL

My neighbor has a '98 34' Winnebago with a 7.4 Vortec. He makes 2 big trips a year, one up the east coast to Canada and the other out west. Has been to Alaska twice in this MH and at all times has a 3500lb. toad behind. His average mpg is 7 to 8 and is never lacking for power. Current engine technology has made the gas engine very efficient and powerful enough for many larger applications.

When looking at a used RV, look for the not so obvious to find the problems. I recently looked at a used DP with a sign in the window stating, GREAT CONDITION. By looking at the ceiling at an angle I could see the difference in the texture of the material and also the paint used to cover some problems. While walking around the outside I saw a couple of pieces of very nicely placed and painted Eternabond on the upper corners of the slideout. Inside I could see the water damage that was apparent but not really noticeable unless you looked closely. Tires were date coded as being 9 years old. Generator had LOW HOURS and this was supposed to be a selling point, I don't think so. Chances are good that if there is an attempt to hide some problems then the BIG STUFF, engine, transmission, suspension and other items might be neglected.

Ok, my kidney is off the market guys!

That's to bad. With Fleetwood closing the doors on the RV side of the house, you could get a great deal on a new one.;) Too bad another Rv manufacture closing, Fleetwood made a good product.
