Cast of Characters: Me and DD16
We left NY-JFK on thurs 4/5 on an 8:20am flight. Everything went very smooth. Our flight took off and landed early. When we got to MCO we had a little trouble finding the ME desk but realized that we were on the 2nd floor and needed to go down to the 1st. The line moved very quick and were then taken to a very long line to wait for our bus to CR. We waited about 10-15mins and then got on the first bus out to the MK resorts. The bus stopped at WL first and then CR.
At CR there was no line at check in. The room was not ready but we left our checked bags with Bell Services and took the monorial to MK. We got to MK at about 1pm right in prime lunch time.We got fastpasses for Buzz Lightyear and the return time was about 2hrs later. We attempted to go to Cosmic Rays but couldn't even get in the door. We ended up at Pinocchio's ordered our food and ended up sitting and eating on a bench right outside the restaurant. After that we headed to Philarmagic with very little wait. After Philharmagic we headed back to tomorrowland rode TTA and then used our fastpasses. It was approaching parade time so we figured wait times would be less...we headed to adventureland to ride POTC and waited about 45mins. After that the park emptied out a great deal from eariler. I guess a lot of people left after the parade. I think we rode one or two more rides and then headed back to CR to get settled as we had a 6:25pm ADR at Kona Cafe.
When we arrived back our room was ready and our luggage from ME was in our room. We showered and then headed to the monorial to POLY. There was really no wait to get seated at dinner and got in before our ADR time. The food was great at Kona after dinner we headed to EPCOT for pmEMH. They weren't as bad as I expected. During the EMH we rode TT used the single rider line and waited about 25mins (we ended up in the same car) then rode green version of MS waited about 10mins. We found pple in line who gave us extra fastpasses and then rode MS orange version. After that we headed to Soarin' and waited about 45mins to ride we stopped in MouseGear and did some shopping. I think we left EPCOT around 11pm.
Friday 4/6 we were down to the bus stop by 8:15am or so and headed to AK. It was early so it wasn't too crowded. First we headed to EE to get fastpasses at 8:49am the return time was 10:15am. We then headed to Dinoland and rode Primeval Whirl with no wait and then Dinosaur with about a 10min wait. After Dinosaur we went to the Festival of the Lion King and then used our EE fastpasses. Walked right on with the fastpasses and we both really enjoyed this ride. We then headed to Kali and got soaked. It was about 11am now and headed to lunch and Restaurantosaurs and then went to It's Tough to be a Bug. We left AK at about noon and headed directly over to BB.
BB was not too crowded we only rode Summit Plumet and Teamboat Springs. We spent a while in the pool there and then layed out in the sun. We left BB at about 3:30pm to go back to CR and shower and get ready for 6pm Chef Mickey's ADR. We did some shopping in the CR stores before our reservation. This is the only time the Easter crowds bothered us was at CM. We've eaten breakfast here in the summer many times in the past and had a great experience. This time however, all of the characters after 45mins didn't even make it around to our table and we also were sitting way in the corner b/c there was only 2 of us so I felt like we missed out on the experince of CM.
After dinner we headed to MGM for Fantasmic. As we were walking into the the theatre it was said that the show was standing room only. However we figured since there was only 2 of us we'd find a seat somewhere. The CM's were directing everyone to the left so we went right and snuck by and found an entire empty row of seats at just about the middle of the theatre. We arrived at about 7:50 or so for the 8:30 show. (others tried to sneak in as well and were turned away). After the show we headed to MK for pmEMH and had a great time we rode quite a few attractions including Space Mt and BTMRR we found that at about 12:30pm the crowds started to thin out completely and we stayed until about 1:15am.
Satruday 4/7 we had 10:15am ADR at Crystal Palace. We arrived at MK at about 9am and headed to tomorrowland to get fastpases for Space Mountain and our return time was for about 11am. We rode Space Mountain b4 breakfast with little wait and then I believe Buzz Lightyear. We headed to CP and got in before our ADR time. We loved CP the parade around the restaurant is so cute. All of the characters got to our table in about 40mins but we didn't mind waiting b/c we needed to digest b4 using our Space Mountain fastpasses. We used our fastpasses and had a short wait. We got fastpasses for Splash Mountain and Peter Pan rode a great deal of attractions in MK that we didn't ride the night before (which consisted of mostly fantasyland attractions). We headed to Toontown and waited about a 1/2hr to see Donald, Chip'nDale but it was worth it b/c they spent a great deal of time with us. We did some shopping on Main Street and then left MK a little after the 330 parade ended. The monorial was having a great deal of trouble and we figured that rather than miss our ADR at 1900 Park Fare we would just ride the monorial around and head directly there.
We walked around GF for a little and then headed to our ADR about 1/2 hr early and got right in. This was the quickest meal of our trip we were in and out in 1/2 hr and got to see all of the characters come around to our table. We headed back to CR to shower and then headed to DTD for shopping. We met up with some friends in DTD and did some shopping. We were in DTD for about 2hrs and then decided we wanted to head back and get to bed early. We were in bed by 11:30am.
Sunday 4/8. CR was packed due to the Easter mass. We slept in a little today and got out at about 9am or so. We headed to MGM and got fastpasses for RNRC and then rode TOT. We waited about 30mins or so to ride TOT and then rode RNRC using the single rider line which was GREAT. After we went to One Man's Dream before heading back over to the RNRC/TOT area. Before riding RNRC we got fastpasses for TOT. After riding RNRC with fastpasses we rode it again on the single rider line. After that we headed over to Sci Fi Dine In for lunch. We really enjoyed this restaurant. After eating we headed to MuppetVision 3D with about a 15min wait or so and then got fastpasses for Star Tours before heading back to TOT for our fastpass time. We rode TOT and then it was time for our Star Tours fast pass. After Star Tours we rode the Great Movie Ride (which took a while b/c they were having technical difficulities) after that we headed to the Backlot Tour. It was now about 5pm and decided to head over to World Showcase in EPCOT. We rode the new boat ride in Mexico which we liked and walked through the countries in about 1/2 hr.
We then headed back to CR to shower and get ready to attend pmEMH at MK. We got to MK at about 9pm and had a late dinner at Cosmic Rays. After eating we walked outside to watch Wishes which we really enjoyed. We rode quite a bit of rides as MK was pretty empty for this EMH (I guesse everyone was tehre all day waiting on lines and was tired out). We got great seats for the 11pm Spectro in Fronterland and then finished up with Fantasyland attractions which were all pretty much walk on. We got back to CR at about 2am.
Mon 4/9. Slept in a bit this morning as we were heading over to GF for the last night of our stay. We took a cab there and transported our luggage ourselves it cost about $6. We got to GF at about a little after 10am. We had booked a MK view and at check in we find out we were upgraded to concierge. We were taken up to the concierge lounge and had breakfast. We then proceeded to a concierge CM to receive our room keys and our ME pick up time for the next morning.
We got to EPCOT at about 11am...and this is where we saw the masses!!! We had been arriving at the parks no later than 9:30am during our trip but now we saw that most people don't head out and get to the parks until 11am. EPCOT was pretty crowded. We headed to TT as we saw it was going to rain and wanted to get it in before the shut it down. We rode single rider again and waited about 25mins. We then headed and did the other FW attractions such as EEA, HISTA, JITI (not BIG time ones). After EEA we headed to lunch at sunshine seasons adn it was crowded but found a small table in the corner. The weather was starting to get crappy and rainy and we decided to head to SE we didn't wait long at all and we when got out it was pouring. We stopped in the camera center b/c I wanted to buy an album (ended up getting a scrapbook) and were debating whether or not to ride the Seas w/ Nemo or head back to GF. We decided to check out Nemo the wait time had been 60mins all day but figured the rain might have scared pple away. It did we waited maybe 30mins and really enjoyed it.
While we were waiting on line to ride the Seas w/ Nemo I had received a message from GF that they needed to cut my keys but they had already did. I called GF back to say that it was after 4pm and still did not receive a call that our room was ready like the said we would. The CM said that we had been upgraded (again) and needed to get new keys and the room would be ready in about 15mins.
After riding the Seas we headed back to GF and directly up to the concierge desk we explained the situation and then had told us we had been upgraded to the ROY DISNEY SUITE!!! We were very excited and really enjoyed our time there...but we had 7:30pm ADR at LTT. We got to MK a little before and watched Dream Along wiht Mickey. We really enjoyed LTT all of the characters got around in a timely fashion and were out pretty quickly. We rode a good amount of attractions at MK after dinner...MK was pretty much empty from the time we got there until the time we left at 11:15pm. I guess the rain scared pple away (the night was actually the most pleasant part of the day) and the Easter crowds from yesterday were just there.
We got back to GF and then spent about an hr in the jacuzzi in the suite and then packed up everything and called it a night we had a 7:45am ME pick up time.
Overall we had a great trip. The weather was MUCH cooler than we had hoped but still made the best of it. We did not feel the heat of the Easter week crowds and actually prefer this time to the summer where we felt the wait times were the same and actually worse b/c of the massive heat. They only difference was the amount of people walking during the middle of the afternoon.
