Snowwark - Thanks so much for arranging yesterday's DIS meet at Centre Island. Thank goodness the weather cooperated and it ended up being a wonderful place to hold it. I was only sorry we missed NativeTxn and Mickey65, but we'll hope to see them next time.

Thank you so much for thinking of the children and giving them bubbles to play with. Those Mickey suckers you gave to the kids were our salvation, appearing as they did just at the "Mommy I'm HUNGRY" stage of the day. The decorations for planters are beautiful, too - what a lovely touch, Kim.

Thanks to both you and John for the wonderful job you did! Thank you too, for spoiling us all with such nice treats.

Kim, I would like to also say thanks so much for organizing us all together for another successful DIS meet! And you were soooo very nice to bring us all a beautiful treat--thank you very much!!!!

Everything went very well and the weather was gorgeous. Everyone looked liked they were having a very enjoyable day talking with each other and going on the rides in Centreville. I'm only sorry that Mickey65 couldn't make it and that Nativetxn couldn't find us.

The pictures posted on the Community Board are terrific, another BIG thanks to John for taking them!

I'd like to add our thanks too. It was a great day, and Kim did a wonderful job planning it and she adds so much with her special little touches.
Kath, I can relate to how you feel! We arrived late and had to go searching for the group. Thankfully, I knew that they were probably going to be around Centreville. We walked all around that area, but couldn't find them. I almost approached a woman with a lime green shirt on since she was sitting there with a lime green Minnie balloon and a Mickey balloon, but she didn't match the description of anyone that I knew was coming, so I kept going. We eventually spotted a large group picnicing across a bridge from Centreville. It was too large a group, but as I turned away from them, I spotted tables with bright green tablecloths, and I knew that that must be them because Kim had said that she had bought some for the meet. Sure enough! As we got closer, I recognized a few people and knew that we had found them. We had a great time, but were sorry that you didn't make it, and also that Mickey65 had an accident and wouldn't be there.
