CSR only has king rooms left according to the disney website, which means... the resort is pretty much PACKED! That skeers me!

Don't let that scare you! That could be convention people. And they'll be in meetings and that leaves the buses, the pool bar and the main pool and quiet pool empty!

Just because they are not listed does not mean there isn't one. We don't know all the conventions...only the ones we found on a google search or through DISer's letting us know. It's probably almost full because it is summer and the CBR is probably full because they are hosting a bunch of baseball/softball teams (I know because my oldest son is staying there--he coaches--and he's not happy about it...he wanted to be at the CSR, but it wasn't on the "plan).

I think you are just using "king only" as an excuse because you still can't make up your mind.

We won't throw a pie at you (maybe a cookie!). Believe me, I understand your situation. I'm often asked why we don't try another resort. It's just that we love CSR so much (after seven perfect stays) that I just don't want to go anywhere else. We are going to try AKL next year, but with a split stay.

Take a deep breath and go with what your heart tells you.

I have been there when it was packed, and I swear you don't realize that it is full. The only time we had ANY issues with crowds was going into Pepper Market during peak lunch time, and getting on the bus after the fireworks. But let's face it... they are all bad then! And Pepper Market at peak time was better than Pop food court at off times IMO.

Many times the conventions book blocks of rooms, and it will look like the resort is sold out. Closer to time, the unbooked rooms wil be released to the public. Our last CSR stay took me 6 weeks of checking the website to find an opening.

Been there done that My favorite resort is the WL - I feel nothing but peace when I'm there. I have a stressful career that I love and the down time at the Lodge is something I can't quite put into words

One year we did a split trip with AKL and couldn't wait to check in to the WL - it's not that we didn't enjoy AKL it was that it just wasn't the WL Spent a week at the BC - loved walking into Epcot - but not worth the loss of peace from the WL.

This summer though we are actually planning to stay at AKL - it's a surprise for my DS's 16th bday Will we actually decide on AKL

I'm sorry. No more teasing - we're here to support the process and whatever decision you make.

I even have a hard time with a resort I love. I have MS and you wouldn't know it to look at me b/c it is silent - I need a room with lots of natural light or I feel like I'm in a dark tunnel. Until I found out about the special needs dept, every trip was terribly stressful and always meant changing rooms.

Although it is better now, it's hard for special needs to help b/c when they ehar natural light they think sun...nope, not sun - that hurts my eyes!!! It's weird, I know and SN folks are for the most part, wonderful.

Besides all that I am picky and want a nice view too!!!

Do you know if the sports group will be at CBR during your dates? And if so, would that make a difference? Do you like the new Nemo theme? It's not as tropical as before. We always stayed in Martinique 25 or 26 in a corner room, a short walk from OPR, with a lake view too! Pretty great!

I want to try AKL but afraid it won't have the "romantic factor" I am hoping for. We actually have the honeymoon suite booked at WL right now! To cancel or not to cancel...that is the question!
