Big fireworks barbecue yesterday, and Mother Nature, bless her heart, smiled upon us!!
Lots of people, lots of food, lots of fireworks, equals lots of mess.
In between getting ready for and enjoying the party, we managed to plant the new Columbines, 3 new Blanketflower "Goblin" (originally purchased only 1), another E.B. Anderson Lungwort, and the new Snakeroot.
Today we purchased a very nice obelisk and some Moonflowers to grow up and around it. I'm keeping that on the deck so I can enjoy the fragrance close up.
We also bought several more Morning Glories (planted 2 this weekend already), although I'm not sure where we're going to put them. We really seem to be on a vine kick this year.
Lots of annuals sitting in the garden cart, waiting to be planted!
Oh, I almost forgot! Two new "King of Heart" Dicentra to be planted also. Their pink flowers bloom from May to August, and their foliage is a very cool greyish-blue.
How did things go in the garden for you, this past weekend?
