Hello Everyone!

You can surf to my trip report. Even though it's basically an adults only trip, I'd say it's rated pg. Nothing outrageous happened, so nothing outrageous to report. But you can expect:

*Detailed descriptions
*Many photos
*How do my nerves hold up showing a newbie around Walt Disney World?
*What is it like at Typhoon Lagoon at a private party for adults
*Why the staff at the Outer Rim is great
*How I maximized the thrill factor
*Which meal was better: Chefs de France or Hollywood Brown Derby?
*How I went blind at the Crystal Palace

That's just a taste of what to expect.
:wave2:

Have fun while as you surf http://hometown.aol.com/woodwindmusic

Wow, that was very detailed! My brother has been dying to go to Gay Days for years now. When he was in the college program, he was there, but now he wants to go back on his own. Maybe he'll actually get there this year!

Sounds like you had a blast. Thanks for sharing your trip!

Traci-Lyn,

If your brother has any questions, let him know he can email me anytime. Just have him include "DISboard response" in the subject line, otherwise I might delete it thinking it's spam.

Take care

Great review. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

Oh wow, sounds fab! That's actually right around the time we were thinking of going when we make our first family trip. Can't wait, sounds like a lot of fun! We're a family, a man, a woman, and children, but also "family" ifyaknowwhatImean, so I think it would be a real blast.

Great, now I read you elaborated trip report and my trip reports look like they were made by a 5 yr old!!!

I have been to Epcot many, many times and I never walked into the Stave church replica. I also learned about it on this trip and found it fascinating.

Next time you plan a trip to Disney with Paul I'll leave DH at home and join you!!!! It sounds like you had a lot of fun!!

:jumping1:

Wonderful trip report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Minniespal,
Thanks for the pat on the back. It means a lot. :earsboy:

My Julybabes,
Going to Disney World any time you will have a blast is my opinion. But June 3-7 will definitely be a hoot. Please wave and say hello if you happen to cross my path. How many children are there and what are their ages? I gotta live vicariously through others when it comes to children.

Belle,
truer words were never spoken. That vacation was definitely tons o' fun!

Bridgettesmom,
Any trip report can give insight and help no matter if it's written by me or a five year old. In case you didn't notice on my wishlist page, I will be travelling solo in June. So Paul won't be with me. Perfect time for you to ditch your husband and run away with me for a fling for a week. Even though I'm single, I'll still be very discreet and it won't get back to him ;)

Douglas, you're going solo next time?
Did I mention I have a single, attractive brother?
Haha, just joking.

Oh, granted, we'll have a good time any time, but we really were looking at the first week of June, so as not to take the kids out of school any more than necessary. If we are there, we'd be hard to miss. Dh is freakishly tall. Plus, we'll both have our cute little matching pink/purple/blue pride necklaces. ;) 3 kids, a boy who's 7, a girl who's 4 (another reason we're hard to miss, she's got the prettiest red hair!) and a boy who's 2 (yet another reason-- he's autistic and his behavior can be "out there")

I really appreciated a different perspective on a trip to the World. You live vicariously in regards to children, I live vicariously in regards to things to do when child-free! LOL

Thanks for the trip report. We will be there this year May 30- June 10th! (because that is school gets out.) We never thought twice about going during this time even though we are rather straight. Actually I sure it will just add to the fun! I am one big kid myself. I am really hoping we can do an E night, but I wonder if it would be too late for the kids (did you see many little ones last year, or is it more a grown up thing?)... I have been hoping to hear a report on this week and yours was great.

HaleyB,

You know your kids and know what they can handle. How old are they? There were kids out and about that night. Take a look at the list of attractions that I listed...would your kids enjoy those? I distinctly remember quite a number of kids at the very end of the night at Country Bear Jamboree. By the way, they won't announce the E ride nights until late April or early May for June.

One thing to keep in mind about planning for your vacation. You will be arriving for Memorial Day weekend. So that Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be VERY crowded in the parks. Any time children are off from school it's crowded at the parks. So you might want to plan to go slow at the beginning of your trip. Spend time shopping, swimming, resort touring is my advice. The water parks might be a good choice too. Anyway, be prepared for the crowds until Tuesday.
