a gallon of skim milk at the resort stores?

Can you buy milk at the restort stores (staying at Port Orleans). Otherwise I guess I take a taxi from WDW to the nearest store. I don't really want to pay for a taxi from the airport and then stop on a store on the way. Any help? I am a first timer !!!

I have only seen milk in the half gallon, quart, and or pint sizes. But, you definitely can purchase milk at your resort gift shop.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing milk by the gallon available at the resorts. Rather than taking a taxi from/to the airport, you may want to look into using a town-car service to take you from/to the airport. They usually include a complimentary 30 minute grocery store stop on the way to WDW.

The resorts don't sell anything larger than half gallons. And at a Disney resort, that 1/2 gallon of milk will run you about $2.95

I was wondering if anyone here would know if the resort sells or has lactose free milk? I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask anyway. We will have our own car, where's the closest grocery store? We will be at BWV.

Haven't noticed about lactose free products at the resorts but Gooding is the closest grocery store. It in the Crossroads Plaza near Downtown Disney. Very high prices though. If you're buying very much it might be worth it to go north from the Crossroads junction on Apopka Vineland Road to a Winn Dixie that is on the right hand side...I think it's less than a mile north.

I was told that BW has a convenience store (carries more than the usual gift shop)... anyone care to comment? I decided, since I had a car, rather than walk over, I would drive to Publix so that I would have a bigger variety to choose from... But I would still like to know what the BW offers...

Does POR have full size (or any) refrigerators? I only ask because the mini fridge we used while our kitchen was being renovated didn't have enough room to fit a gallon jug comfortably. I found it much easier to put two half gallon containers in it. (And I still buy milk that way; it's easier for my son to pour, and stays fresher.)

Both Boardwalk/Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club/BCVillas have gift shops with an expanded assortment of foodstuffs. Convenience store prices and a much smaller assortment than a typical White Hen Pantry but still a very nice convenience if you need just a few things....eggs, milk, juice, soup, lunch meat, cheese, bread and some frozen items, etc.. Don't know where you would be walking over from but just thought you should know BC/BCV might be an option too.

I've not stayed at POR but other than the DVC villas and Fort Wilderness homes, I believe the only refrigs. available are too small for a gallon of milk.
