We are trying Marrakesh on our trip. We've never been to it, or WDW, and are looking forward to it. I've seen it get some bad reviews here - but some good ones too. We just wanted to try something different.

Anyhow I was wondering if those who like Marrakesh could share what their favorite meal is there. I'm at a loss of what to order, etc. I'm hoping we get a good server that can help - but just in case. What do you order when you go. . .or have ordered and would recommend?

Thank you in advance for sharing.

My DH and I each like the chicken couscous. The couscous is fantastic. The best I have ever had. Normally I hate couscous because it reminds me of sand. My son likes the beef brewat rolls. They are an intersting mix of ground beef in phylo dough fried and then dusted in powdered sugar. I like them also but my 6 year old could eat a whole order my himself.

My favorite: Berber Feast - jasmina salad, roast lamb meshoui, chicken kabob and seasonal fruit salad $25.95 per person. I have also tried Sultan Sampler - grilled brochette of either beef or chicken served with a Beef Brewat Roll and Chicken Bastilla served with vegetable couscous $21.95 and liked it as well. I just prefer the Berber because it has the lamb.

My husband's favorite: Shish Kebab - grilled tenderloin of beef marinated in Moroccan herbs and spices $19.95

Both our children, who are college students now, but have been eating here for years, usually opt for a special the restaurant tends to have posted inside the door. It includes a variety of items from the regular menu. They like it because it offers different items and dessert. Our son has also had the Chicken Kebabs - grilled brochettes of chicken breast marinated in Moroccan herbs and spices $17.95 and enjoyed it as well.

If you enjoy spicier sauce, Marrakesh does have a spicy sauce you can ask for and add to your food as you like. I am a fan of this sauce, but I love hot and spicy food. :rolleyes1

Thank you very much for the tip on the spicy sauce! My DH is one of those spicy food lovers, and I'll make a note to suggest it for him.

We loved this place.Dh had the nIghts on Casablanca, and I had the Chicken kebabs. Both dishes very tasty. I also had the Baklava for dessert, I can't remember what the dessert was called that Dh had but it was very good too.

I love Morrocan food and I love lamb (so does my family, the Lamb Meshoui and the Lamb Shank Cous-Cous are both succulent. I always get the spicy sauce for the cous-cous.

The lentil soup is also really delicious as well. My son loves Shish Kabobs and loves the Tenderloin, they cook it medium the way he likes it.

The ambiance is fun, they have belly dancers etc. We really enjoy Marrakesh. I've also seen the bad reviews, but I've eaten there more times than I can count since it opened, including this June and I've never ever had a bad meal there.
