A ? for those familiar with Montreal

My hockey team will be playing in a tournament in Montreal in mid-April. Most of my team mates will spend their "down time" going to clubs/bars, but I don't drink and I'm not into the "club" scene. What else is there to do in the Montreal area? I like museums, especially science or history related, and a few of us like to play laser tag.

There is a great science museum in Montreal. It is down by the river but I can't remember the name. Old Montreal is also a great place to see if you like history.

The Art Museum has a new Egypt exhibit from the British Museum.

There is also an excellent museum in old montreal called Pointe-a-calliere. It traces the history of Montreal's founding and has archaeology digs sites.

The Casino is there too, of course. Plus, there's a whole bunch of shopping along the Crescent Sts/Rene Levesque Blvd areas.

I used to go there yearly for the F1 race and that city is a party. There's never nothing to do. Still, the walking around and shopping was a lot of fun as well.

There is also plenty of good shopping, and sightseeing. Whenever I go back I like to shop around for a picnic lunch on Boul St Laurent and then take them up on Mountain and sit in the park and enjoy. It might still be a bit spotty weather in April, but I remember April as pretty decent. If you're a fan of contemporary art, there is a very good contemporary art museum too, in addition to all the others folks have already mentioned.

Vieux Montréal is also lts of fun to walk around, but not nearly as compelling as the old town in Québec City.

I love going back to Montréal, and don't do it nearly enough.
