A Firefox Question

I have used Firefox for a couple of years now and really like it. But recently I got a new computer, downloaded Firefox, and have an issue with it. I am sure that it has something to do with some setting that I have incorrect and I was wondering if someone could help me with it.

I have to log back into websites every time I use them. If I go away from my computer for a while but don't shut down Firefox, I usually have have to log back in. Of course, if I close out of Firefox, I have to log into websites when I open Firefox again. What do I do to not have to log in all of the time?
Now admittedly, this possibly may not be Firefox's "problem." I have all kinds of security programs running and possibly one of them is logging me out after being inactive for a while. But if someone could help me pinpoint the problem it would be GREAT!!!

It sounds like your cookies aren't being remembered

check under tools then options then security and check if accept cookies is checked.

Well, I just checked and Foxfire is supposed to be accepting cookies. I'll bet that some other security program is overriding that. I am going to have to do some exploring...

ETA - I just checked all of my security programs - McAffee, Windows Defender, Spybot and the winner is CCleaner. It was deleting all of my cookies. So I made a list of ones for it NOT TO TOUCH! And hopefully I will stay logged into the DIS for more than a couple of minutes.
