A few WH questions

We actually stayed at Windsor Hills back in October but there are a few things I didn't get to check out while we were there. I'm hoping someone can clue me in.

First of all, seems like I read that the pool slide has a height requirement of 48 inches. Is this true and are they very strict about this? My DD really wants to do the pool slide this time but she's only about 44 or 45 inches tall and I doubt she'll grow 3 or 4 inches by this summer.;) If she is tall enough to do the slide, how deep is the water at the bottom and do they allow the kids to wear any kind of flotation vest or arm floaties?

My other question is about the store that's onsite. What are the prices like - convenience store high or pretty reasonable? We'll have our own car and will shop elsewhere for most of our groceries but I was just wondering if I should keep my kids away from all the candy and goodies I've seen in pictures of the store.:rotfl:

I'm also wondering what the traffic to and from the Disney parks will be like about the middle of June. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with that? TIA:)

I believe they are very strict about th 48" height minimum on the slide, and that there are lifeguards monitoring this.

I don't know anything about the store prices.

Having just survived the busiest time of the year (XMAS to New Years) staying nearby, I can say that traffic is no problem if you're arriving at the parks early (meaning about 30 minutes before park opening). We also use the Sherberth road "shortcut" to AK at all times and also when returning home at night. I've never taken anything other than Sherberth Rd when returning home, but from hearing from others, the regular way (i.e. if you just follow Disney's signs to 192) would take much longer in the evening when many people are leaving the parks at the same time.

I also suspect that if you were going to be arriving at the parks after they open (i.e. 1-3 hours after opening), then you'd be better off with the shortcut using Sherberth for all parks because 192 gets very backed up - basically gridlocked from one light to the next from what I understand. As we always arrive prior to park opening, I can't confirm this first-hand though!
