A few TS, but mostly QS?

Once upon a time going to Disney meant yay! great restaurants for me. Times have changed and we eat out a lot more at home so going out isn't as special.

We have a couple of table service reservations. Trying to decide if I will regret not having them every day. Our kids are all in their '20's so its not like the old days when we had to hold trays, hold a table, watch kids..etc. They say there is no where special that they want to eat.

Part of it is money. Table service for 4.5 people will be expensive. My daughter is very picky and will likely eat kid meals.

So does anyone eat mostly Quick Service? One of the best meals we had last time was at that outside cantina in Mexico. Last minute decision.

Also, the fact that they hold you CC number and charge you if you don't cancel in time spooks me a little. I like being able to change my mind.

We've done several trips where we only had a few TS meals. There is such a variety of foods available at CS restaurants now, that we enjoy having the freedom of not being tied to an ADR every day.

That's how we always go! We like the freedom of having mostly CS meals, especially that we can get something when we're hungry and postpone if we aren't. TS meals also eat away at our precious park time, since we only have 4.5 park days.

There are so many great QS options to choose from! You could always try to do walk up somewhere like Via Napoli (love love love their pizza) where you can split a big pizza amongst you and it wouldn't be too pricy!

Other places I love: Bakery in France (dying to try their sandwiches), Yorkshire County fish and chips in the UK at Epcot, Be Our Guest lunch at MK, and I Really liked Art of Animation's food court.

I have three TS booked for our trip. The rest of our meals will be from QS, room service, or last minute TS (if there's anything available). We have been to Disney many times so character meals are meh and all of the over priced themed restaurants aren't what they used to be. Ohana and Boma are the only two TS meals we have to book.

My advice? Don't look at what you don't want/have. Look at what you will be enjoying and can have. Your daughter in particular.

Also, realize that counter service meals mean you can just get one thing. So, if your daughter wants, say, a cheeseburger but not a side, she can do that. She can also just get a kids meal. If just fries is the thing, you can do that. A side of apple slices, done.

My only advice (just to save you from people like me behind you) is to look at the menu BEFORE you get to the cashier and have your requests in mind. THEN go to the cashier and order. Please don't stand at the cashier and get everything sorted out :)
