A few touring/timing questions

A little background - 5 adults; 2 are first timers so trying to keep it a little more relaxed as they are a smidge older than the rest of us.
One day we will go to MK & leave to go to dinner at Ohana for a 6:30 reservation......will we be able to make it back to MK for 9:00 Wishes?

Another day we will be at HS & leave to go to Captains Grille (hopefully by boat....but we'll see) for a 5:15 reservation. Does that give us enough time to make it back for the Star Wars fireworks show at 9:00?

I am terrible at determining time & travel - I'm always ridiculously early or running to be on time!! So I just want to get a few opinions on this. I feel like the HS one is fine but MK may be pushing it & we should just plan on watching from the Poly beach. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

Ohana looks OK. Give yourself about 30-60 minutes to get back to MK. 60 is assuming you just miss whatever transportation you're using and have to wait for the next one.

For Captain's Grille, that's probably OK too. It's just my opinion, but you'll have a much better meal at Brown Derby inside of HS than at Captain's. That saves worrying about going back and forth.

You'll be able to see the fireworks but it will be crowded by the time you get there.

You should be ok. With regards to the MK day, if you're running late then you may actually get a view of the fireworks from the boat on the way over. It's a unique experience and a great consolation prize should things not go your way with the timing.

O'Hana could be pushing it. If you get in exactly on time, if you're done in exactly an hour, then you should be fine - it will be crowded and you probably won't have a great spot, and with the new projection show I would guess that it is going to be more important than ever to get a good spot, early, but you'll be able to see them. However, if there are any variables (dinner doesn't start on time, you take longer than an hour), then you definitely run the risk of missing part or all of them or having a really poor viewing spot. I would try and move it even just half an hour earlier if at all possible.

Captains Grille you'll be fine.

If you do run late at 'Ohana, go to the beach at the Poly and watch Wishes from there.

I too think you are too close on your MK night. I would watch from the Poly beach and relax over dinner.

Thanks for the responses!! I'll keep checking on moving my ohana res earlier but as of this morning there aren't any other openings.

I would agree, just go right out on the Poly beach after dinner and watch from there
