A few quick BC questions...

I thought the 3rd floor was all non-smoking....is this not true anymore? Where are the non-smoking rooms located? Do they usually have blocks on NS rooms, or is it just a room-by-room thing? Has anyone been "stuck" with a smoking room that they didn't want, and did it smell??

It looks like there are some pretty big trees in the pool area...do they obstruct any water views?

I have requested a lake view for our trip, what floor do you think is the best view? Can you get a good water view from the first or second floor ??

Are there any water view rooms that just aren't that great??

Is it really a hike from the Epcot side of thr resort to the pool, lobby, bus, etc.??

I know I am rambling, but I can't help it. We are leaving in just 18 days!!!

Not sure which rooms/floors are non-smoking. We always request non-smoking and always get it. Never been stuck with a smoking room. I do know that there are many more non-smoking versus smoking rooms. If you're unhappy with your room for any reason, I'll bet you could call the front desk and they'll try to help. The CM's are great at the YC and BC.

We had a lake view room on the second floor and the view was fantastic. There are a few trees in the way but not to the point where the view is ruined. What I would do is call in about 3 days prior to your arrival and be very nice to the people at the front desk. Let them know you really really want a good unobstructed water view if at all possible. We've always called in ahead and gotten exactly what we wanted. However, it's not guaranteed.

I do not think it's a hike from the Epcot side to the buses, pools, etc. But then again, a big hike to one person can be a little stroll to another. The resorts are large, but manageable I think. I've never felt like "oh no..I have to walk all the way to_____" .

Have a great time - enjoy the Epcot resort area and Stormalong Bay. Have a burger at Beaches & Cream for me.
