My wife and I are considering taking my granddaughter who will be 4 in March on a quick trip to WDW. We don't have points available to stay anywhere. We have annual passes for ourselves, but none for her. We are also planning a trip the week after Thanksgiving 2016 with the whole crew, both kids and their spouses and all four grandkids. Our trips have always been pretty straight forward but now with grandkids and flexibility to travel at different times, I have a lot of questions.
Are there any discounts if a DVC member pays cash at a WDW hotel?
What might my best option be for my granddaughter's pass?
We are likely only going to do a couple days, fly in and fly out. Use Magical Express.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

DVC sometimes offers 25% off DVC resorts, but not other resorts. Your AP should give you access to AP discounts. I'd recommend Undercover Tourist for your granddaughter's ticket. You'll save a bit over direct from Disney.

If the one granddaughter will be taking two trips within 12 months, you should probably buy her a DVC annual pass.

We just got back last week from a 3 night stay with DGS(4) at BCV. Make sure you set-aside plenty of resort/pool time. That time spent with him was the most fun even over the parks.

Is there a different price for the annual pass for a 4 year old? And the annual pass discount would work for hotels?

I think in order for the granddaughter to qualify for the DVC annual pass she'd have to have the same address as her grandparents.
