A few questions

I hope I can ask/explain this without confusing everyone.

We plan on being in WDW for marathon weekend next year. We really would like to stay in a 2 bedroom since my parents will be with us but I'm worried that since that is a busy weekend that everything will be booked before the 7 month window.

What I would like to do is find someone that owns at a different resort and would be willing to book for me and I would transfer my points to them instead of having to pay them $10/point.

Question is can I tranfer borrowed points to another member or do they have to be current? My use year isn't until September and my 2011 points are gone. I'd have to borrow from my 2012 use year.

Right now my plan is to book at my home resort at the 11 month mark so I have a place.

You cannot transfer borrowed or banked points. Only current points. You can transfer future year points to another member for the same year. Like UY2013 into UY 2013.

The Rent/Trade board has information about trading reservations. It is possible to complete if you can find an owner who also wants to do it.

In terms of points, no, you can not transfer borrowed points. You can also not transfer points that have been banked.

If you receive a transfer, you can bank those points and all points retain home resort and UY.

Though you cannot transfer borrowed points, nothing prevents you today from transferring Sep 2012 points to anyone. You would not have to borrow anything to do that. Borrowing is something only done to reserve a room not to transfer points.
